Anyone shipped things internationally? advise please!

So I got this dude wanting to ship an item to nigeria for him.... to his "store".

He has offered about $100 extra on top of my list price to cover shipping but I've never shipped internationally and even though he is going to pay with paypal I still have some second thoughts... I just don't want to get screwed over.

Advise please. IF he uses paypal will everything be cool because I'll be covered from getting screwed or no?

need advise asap.

i'm pretty sure the paypal transaction will be fine, just make sure you get the money before you send it.  as far as the internatinal shipping rate; its gonna be a bitch.  i just sold some goggles to a guy in canda (i live in WA) and it was 30 bucks to ship it up there.  just check the shipping rates before you actually agree to make the transaction is my advice.

i dont need stupid "its a scam" comments.... Anyone can have that sense, but the other half of the situation seems legit.... especially since he wants to do it through paypal.... that's part of why I feel like this could be legit. Why would a scammer want to go through paypal....? paypal is the one thing that everyone on here uses to make sure they don't get screwed/ keeps them from getting screwed.

google it i dunno the details but paypal isnt 100%. they do something like give you the money then as soon as you ship it take it back. i dunno something along those lines. basicly all scams involve you shipping to nigeria, thats like the number 1 rule on how to avoid being scammed

but here i found a good explination of it: its a long read but its pretty intresting. i dunno if yours was through ebay but it basicly shows how they can scam you through paypal.

what are you sending? if you have a trackign number you should probably be allright. just nigeria is pretty famous for scammers.

s.s.austin that was the exact type of thing that I was dealing with!

good thing I came on here and actually tracked all the websites through some places I know...

the buyer dropped off after I sent all our emails to spoof@paypal.com

he didn't like that much.
