can anyone explain to me why Tupac just assumed that when he got jumped in NY Biggie was responsible?

Its because they were both recording in the same building in NY, and I think Tupac assumed that BIG would know if people in the area were going to attack him.

dude, back then, it was the east coast rappers verses the west coast rappers. Tupac was the head of west, Biggie was the head of the east. u blame ur enemy when u are attacked like that. thats it

the movie was pretty acurate to my knowledge, and they were like on good terms, there was no reason for tupac to just assume and blow shit out of proportion.  This is one of the reasons i vote biggie all day.

If Biggie didnt have that dancing, dolphin noise making fool known as puff daddy messing up his songs and videos. (Not talking about his production) there wouldnt even be a debate over who wasthe better MC. But biggie is better hands down. Big and Pac were friends there are all kinds of videos on youtube of the two of them freestyling and bullshitting together.

we've always given a shit. we just dont have a forum called "biggie/tupac discussion" to go to everytime we want to post in NSG and not get shot down. with notorious's release there is now an excuse to talk about such interesting topics. duh.

and yea, biggie, hands down. i dont even get why tupac gets compared to him.

wrong wong wrong wrong.... the reason pac got mad was because like the previous poster they were both in BROOKYLN  at a recording studio... pac thought that because they were in biggies town that biggie would know about everything that was going down when in fact it was just two muggers most likely crack heads who jumped him and shot him...

yeah they were definitely friends to begin with. In Hit em Up 2pac is like "Biggie remember when i used to let you sleep on the couch and beg the bitch to let you sleep in the house.."

 I think it started off as a publicity getter for 2pac to start beef with bad boy and then shit got out of control when crews got involved and then it spread to a huge East v West beef.

Im stoked to see Notorious though, that movie looks sick!

In the documentry it says Tupac heard rumors in prision that biggie had some say in it. But it was just media rumors blown out of proportion.

What didnt help was Biggie not contacting Tupac telling him otherwise. Thus creating a grudge. And this grudge, caused people to hate Biggie for no reason resulting in him being shot.
