how many of you kinda miss little things about high school? i know i kinda do. nothing academic, but me and my group of friends just had a really good time in high school. kinda miss it ya know? especially senior year. anyone else feel this way?

word... college is mad fun for sure but I do get nostalgic now and then. This christmas break was mad fun back home, there's just something about being around people who've known you your entire life.

lots of people go on about how much they hated high school, but i liked it. i had lots of different friends, i got good grades, never had homework, had a car and gas fillups on my parents' tab, and i got to ski everyday. college is much harder and there are a lot more responsibilities, but the freedom is so awesome

gotta agree, high school was a joke. I get the same amount of homework for one class every night that i got for a week total in high school, but like everyone else has said... absolutely nothing like the freedom of college

I miss it. Both college and highschool have their perks

Highschool - always get to see your friends, usually all of them, classes were pretty damn easy, Become pretty good friends with some teachers and be on a first name basis, use of a car along with a home, mom and the things that come along with having a family (cooked meals, laundry done, sometimes dishes etc), dont really have to stress about classes, get to fuck around in class, having a locker close to your classes, walking indoors (when its freezing), gym class.

College - ton more girls and get to start over reputation wise, get to totally make a flexible schedule to your likings (waking up late, having certain days off), escape from chores such as shoveling the driveway, mowing the lawn (dorms), parties are awesome, dont have to hide booze or weed from your parents, parties are better, get laid more often, walking out doors (when its a nice ass day), get to wear hats and chew gum and wear any shirt.

I probably missed a few but those are the main ones

how fucking true...

i hated high school because almost all the teachers seemed to be total fucking morons.  the part i DO miss though is how much simpler life was when i was in high school compared to college.  college there is so much extra crap you have to worry about.

I miss the structure of high school - having classes with all of my friends, having lunch with all of my friends, hanging out/soccer practice with all of my friends, etc.


But college is definitely way better.

I miss

1) Mo' weed connects
2) Knew more chicks, at this point i've slept with basically every attractive female friend I had in highschool so now I don't have any friends that are girls and it sucks.
3) In highschool being a badass made you cool instead of a wasteoid loser
4) Mo' parties
5) Couldn't get arrested
6) I knew everyone
7) For a while I went to a school that was 3 hours a day that was sick
8) College actually matters
9) Didn't need a job
10) Being punk as fuck
11) Tattoo's instantly make you awesome
12) Got more sleep (in class)

As long as you don't give a shit about highschool its fun as fuck.  But in retrospect I wish I had because Jr. College is so mediocre and I'm jealous of my friends who are already at a 4 year.

i loved highschool! especially senior year, i had one class that had homework, and i maybe spent 10 minutes a week doing it. all my other classes were just fuck around fun classes, with awesome teachers who would let us do whatever we want and leave whenever, so we would go exploring through the basement, get up in the rafters in the auditorium and fuck with stuff, climb on the roof, do doughnuts in the parking lots, fucking with other classes, it was awesome. there are so many little passages and wierd scarry places in that school it was so fun exploring. i would get up in the morning totally psyched to go to school, every part of it was fun as hell.
that was probably the best year of my life, other than that highschool was ok before, and junior high and grade school were ok too. college is pretty cool, except im at one where peoples only idea of fun is drinking. like its sorta fun every now and then but shit, i like to go out and do shit, and there are very few college kids who are willing to do anything with me.

but yeah i dont miss all of highschool, i just miss senior year, if i could do senior year all over again for the rest of my life i would be the happiest person ever. i just gotta find a way to have that much fun again.

x2. Everyone just made the best of that year since it was the last time everyone would be together. No one took any of the classes seriously, and we all just hung out, it was sick. The best part was probably the lack of responsibilities..

im lucky, all my good friends from highschool stayed togehter,like my 8 main friends stayed went to the same couple colleges in the same town, fuck that would suck to have all your best friends just leave and never see some of them again.

yes, college is better. The only thing I miss about high school is art class, cause I was allowed to do anything I wanted, not really having to work on any schoolwork, my parents paying for my food, housing and school supplies, and being able to ski after school.

high school was probably the biggest waste of my life thus far with the exception of an amazing english teacher and a good philosophy class. I always thought i would never be around people or have friends if i wasnt at school, but I realize how wrong this assumption is now and that I could have had four glorious years of home schooling and skiing. Theres so many things you can do other than being stuck inside a building with hords of hormonal teenagers and I wish i realized that earlier.

unfortunatly am missing out on my senior year, i moved the last month of junior year and now i do college for high school credits. it's fucking gay as aids. but college will be sick, i think i'm going to go to hawaii for that after i finish some gen ed shit.

theres not much responsibility in college tho, since there is virtually no supervision, you only really have to work easy days a couple days a week if at all, you have a shit ton of freedom in college, the thing i dont like about college the most tho is the people.

i miss everything about high school, the friends, the classes, the sports, the teachers, the girls...now im a freshie in college, and not that its bad but its just the 2nd out of 3rd step to becoming a REAL adult. i'm going to be missing high school for the rest of my life. i'll always be chasing my childhood.

high school parties have absolutely nothing on even a minor college party. So thats one thing to look forward to.

but i do miss a lot about high school. Having all of my lifelong friends around all the time was great, and being around people that i just...knew. I don't think in 4 years of college i'll make better friends than i did in high school and the rest of pre-college school. I also miss how simple sports were. Now i'm working my ass off while training for soccer next fall, and track this spring year round.

both have their own pros and cons i suppose though

nah man... when i was in high school, I would spend all my time either at the ski hill, or devising a plan to get to the ski hill. i didn't like my school friends, and I didn't want post secondary.

as soon as I graduated, I went full time ski bum status. Now, I've been out of high school longer than I've been in (4 years in, 6 years out) - and each year I'm out is more fun than the last. I do believe I'm learning way more out of school as well.

Maybe I'll go to post secondary one day and get a "real" job... but I like skiing too much right now for that.
