At the beginning of last season I bought some new boots because my old ones were terrible $40 ones. I got the Fischer MX5 and was quite happy because they fit nicely, and I wasn't even thinking about park/freeride boots because I had barely even started with twin tips. If I remember right they were around $240, which seemed like alot of money then.
Now I ski alot and a friend of mine who is a ski instructor told me that my gear looked "nice, apart from the boots.."
So, I was wondering if it would actually make a big difference if I did invest in some better quality boots? I ski mostly about 40% offpiste, 30% park and 30% groomers (if that is the american word for pistes?)
Many thanks
