Hip Hop is detrimental to society

I love good hip hop, but reflecting recently I have truly realized that this Gucci Man crack rap bullshit is truly having a negative effect on our kids. Not talking about white kids who like to listen to it, minority ghetto youths get thought by rappers (and many other media figures) that killing, selling crack, and gang-banging is not only ok, but cool.

ahah yeah, i saw this coming. this is where everyone namedrops the "underguond" rap they listen to. funny thing is,i didnt come to that conclusion by listening to one artist. i have listened to all of those artists, and they really didnt make an impression on me. look, you have your tastes, i have mine. im not going to get into an e-pissing contest with you here. and thanks for the lesson on what rap is, but i think i was fine before you explained it.

i just dont think its a valid claim that rap is ruining society any more than rock and roll. its just as womanizing, drug loving, violent etc.

That's actually not what i said. i said that MOST rap is unintelligent. and since, to the best of my knowledge, there is no way to measure how intelligent a rap song is. it really does come down personal preferences.
