Ok so my frustration comes after two shitty experiences with the company.
The first came in mid october i bought a pair of lowriders because i currently had no headphones and i was about to take a 12 hour train ride to visit my ex at UVM. I was pretty stoked on them at first because they looked sick and the sound quality was pretty decent. They survived the trip and lasted about another 3 days until when i was literally putting them on my head, nothing more, and the earphone snapped clean off of the top connecting part (or whatever its called). At this point i was pissed but i figured it was ok and i would just tape it back together and it would be fine. After about another week the second earpiece snapped off in the EXACT SAME PLACE. In a fit of rage that probably made my roomate shit his pants, i chucked these straight into the garbage can, $40 down the shitter. Now this was admittedly a stupid ass idea, but at the time i was livid.
Fast forward to yesterday, somehow made it 3 months without a set of headphones, when i went back to the school bookstore to get headphones. Being the idiot that i am i wrote my previous experience off as a fluke and thought it wouldnt happen again, and I bought a pair of clean white smokin buds. They worked fine at first but after 15 minutes of listening my left ear was killing. No big deal, i've had this problem with headphones before, i would just switch out the the white plastic earpieces for a different size and everything would be fine. In the process of pulling off this piece, the shitty ass piece that holds it on broke off. So here i am less than 36 hours into ownership pissed off as fuck and $70 poorer which, as a college student, goes a long way.
Sparknotes: Fuck Skullcandy for making a shit ton of money off of overpriced, poor quality equiptment.
