I just got it yesterday, and I played it a lot today.  Probably the greatest skating game I have ever played.  Any advice, spots, or just cool things about it that you know, just post it here.

Off the bat take a left ollie twice and do a kickflip and you'll be taken to a secret spot.

if thats the spot where the "dam" you drop into is also the landing of a hip, followed by a HUGE gap onto the streets, then that is indeed a sick spot.

hmmm. i dont have it but i can say i dident like the demo as much as skate. i feel they tried to  make the graphics to good so its not as flowy and the movments are sort of strange. the camera is a little weird to. also i couldent spin very fast which i was bummed about. does enyone know it there is a xgames style jump or danny ways? cuz i really hope there is and i hope there is still spots where you can do double flips. i find it hard to beleive its better then skate 2, i guess ill have to buy it....

they have the xgames jumps. 3 jumps, 1 a gap to a rainbow rail or a rainbow box thing. deff big jumps


i like how you can control ur falls. all of danny ways challenges (under bonus) are huuuuge drop ins that are a lot of fun. walking/running is kinda weird, but being able to move shit is so dope.

the only thing that sktae 1 was better in my opinion was tricks off the mega ramps. but everything else is pretty much better also i do miss a big sick park like the xgames park tho

do you own skate 2. the demo doesnt show shit. if you play the real game you will appreciate the detail of the city and its a much better game.

SKATE 2 IS THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME.

I got it and its so sick. Its like skate 1, but with way sicker spots to skate it. However, the mega ramp game play is not as good as it was in skate one.

EA made SSX, wich was known for snowboarding fun-ness until on tour, when they added skiing.

EA made skate, which is extremely popular with skaters and non-skaters alike. I am sure skiers and snowboarders get their fix for a few things just by playing skate.

Who's to say that they wouldnt make a skate style game with snowboarding and skiing.

Fuck, I would even settle for skate-style snowboarding only.

well, EA is actually making a snowboard game called "STOKED" and its the same controls as skate but for snowboarding. pretty pimptite. you can check it out at www.gettingstoked.com

i think im gonna boycott skate 2.. well not boycott, but just not buy it.

im one of the biggest skate fans out there and have logged more days (weeks?) than anyone i know

my biggest problem with skate though was that it could be a little bit more realistic, like catching tres with your front foot or kickflips with your back, but skate 2 doesnt address any of these issues.. instead they make it more unrealistic... shitty

actually it's way more realistic. The physics are much improved, now you actually feel like your spinning and your guy weighs something, in skate 1 you almost floated. The flip tricks are the same but they just added foot and hand plants, one foot grabs, grind grabs and a ton of new tricks that only add to the game. I don't really see how its less realistic, other than some of the new spots like the san van stadium (IMO pretty stupid but fun for tony-hawk kinda stuff). If you want to to be realistic then just stick to the streets.

and i heard stoked sucked big time. i really wanted it to be good but the previews look terrible

BLAOOW challenge is luck. the koston/carrol u just gotta pop nollie/ollie 540s and use the right stick to tweak which gives you more of a spin
