Is Skiing Popular?

In my school (highschool) we have a fair amount of skiers, but its not popular at all. There are kids thats are real well known that ski and kids that are unknown that ski, but it really doesn't matter on the mountain, cause its all about if you can throw down or shred pow or have a good time with friends. Some times before the weekend when i go up to my condo at the mountain i think about all the shit im missing out on regarding to hanging out with my friends and shit because im skiing. Its impossible for me to have a relationship with a girl during winter and some times i feel like i'd rather have a social life on weekends. But as soon as I get to the mountain i forget that shit and its definately worth it. Any ones school like this?

Everyone automatically thinks I snowboard, even when I tell them i went SKIING. "Oh yeah so you snowboard?", NO.
Pretty funny when people think they are so fucking cool because they snowboard like twice a year, then they are like "Pshh why would you ski?" I just say let me show you a few things, bitchhhhhhhh

All this talk about not being a lot of skiers and having a lot of snowboarders.

I find it the exact opposite at my school, more skiers than snowboarders, well at least with kids that are actually into it and are good.  Other than that more snowboarders.

2 of my best friends ski rather than snowboard (I snowboard), and I go with them the most often.
I get along with them great, as I don't really understand the rift between snowboarders and skiers, what difference does it make?

im in the ski club and am fiends with the ski team so i hang with them some times and when i first met em they thought i snowboarded but yeah

anyways my school is small about 500 kids and i think there are 6 freeskiers me, one 8th grader and the rest in my grade so im with my best friend most of the time who is a major snowboard gaper but is cool about skis and his brother  the 8th grader who skis i got nothin better todo than teach the ski team boxes and have them unknowingly rape their $1000 skis by skratchin the base and skrewin the edges which is funny

My school has more skiers than snowboarder ... but thats cuase we have a race team full of spandex wariors.... but all my friends snow board and its sick cuase i show em up on rails and jumps
