ok i had some massive scratches on the bottoms of my ar5's and my ski shop where i bought them put base weld on the bottom of the ski. well today i looked at the bottom of ski after hitting the knuckle of a table and the base weld came out. my ski shop wants to put more base weld in but i dont want it in there if its just going to keep ripping out because they cut more and more away from the ski every time. so i want to send them back to armada does anyone know if they'll warranty them? thanks

^to the second post who said to make sure u act really pissed. A+ FOR YOU KIDDO!!!
From workin in a shop, whining your way into things is the worst ever. I hate dealin with those people and really could care less about their problem if they treat me like that. you have to treat everyone like they're human...cuz they are, and take things calmly, just talk things over, the guys over at armada are so chill and would love the chat about the problem, but if you give them crap, dont expect/and you should get anything in return.

two solutions:
1.don't hit rocks!
2.don't buy armadas!
i've never heard of a rail giving a ski a core shot before!

bitching and whining to a company is going to give you nothing but a foot in your ass, same goes for a shop. epoxy the whole shit. ptex is meant to be used to fill shallow gouges in the base. If its a core shot, epoxy the shit out of it. make sure to dry out the ski to with a hot air gun. oh and people who fuck with their skis to get a warranty, end up getting shitty skis in return. Its karma and its a bitch.

whoever said the company will tell you they're not meant to slide rails is out of his tree. armada is the most devoted freeskiing company in the industry and they promote their skis to be used that way. in fact, on their site it even said the ar5 was designed for railslides. as for the problem, call the company and explain it to them, CALMLY, and it is in their discretion as to whether it is worthy of the warranty or not

Armada warranty does not cover a ski shop doing a botch job on a base weld, thats between you and the shop.

Fuckin christ, you need to realize that skis can't hold up to the shit we put them through. You're asking wood, metal, fiberglass, and ptex to hold up to several thousand pounds of stress from a ton of different directions when you hit the pipe wall, metal rail destruction, coming up short on that huge gap, etc.
If you charge the park, your shit's gonna break. There aren't two ways about it. It isn't the ski company's fault. As someone before said, Armada is doing as much or more for our sport than any other company out there. Don't dick 'em over.
If you can't afford to break Armadas, get a less expensive ski like a PE or something.
You gotta pay to play.
As far as fixing your base, your shop sucks dick. Someone else mentioned it, but you can't just base weld something and expect it to stay. There are preparatory steps to make sure it adheres to the core properly. Take it to a different shop, they'll probably charge you $30 to do it, but make sure it gets done right by taking it to a good shop.

i'm pretty sure if you just explained youself armada would give you a new pair especially if you wrecked them on rails. also, you guys are dumbasses for saying that armada would say no, if their manager knew anything about buisness he would give him a free pair. Because now reading this if he doesn't i know i wouldnt want to buy armada's from now on. But if he does i would make that my new ski company because i know if i ever broke that the same would apply. I would say try to contact the manager and see what happens.

If they are already starting to delam it shouldn't be long before they delam quite a bit. then take them back to your ski shop. I had a pair of salomon's about 3 years ago that delamed, I took them back and all I said was: 'I don't think they are supposed to do this' and no questions asked, the shop gave me a new pair of skis right then and there.-- but they are cool guys.

The bottom line is that you'd better fix your skis yourself or get your shop to replace them because Armada isn't going to give you new skis because your shop fucked the old pair up.
Also don't try and screw Armada they're doing their best and they've probably read this forum by now because if I had a small ski company I'd try and listen to what people said about my skis, even if it was all a bunch of Internet shit eaters like us.
