Dude Armada better cool about this

ok i had some massive scratches on the bottoms of my ar5's and my ski shop where i bought them put base weld on the bottom of the ski. well today i looked at the bottom of ski after hitting the knuckle of a table and the base weld came out. my ski shop wants to put more base weld in but i dont want it in there if its just going to keep ripping out because they cut more and more away from the ski every time. so i want to send them back to armada does anyone know if they'll warranty them? thanks

I dont think they would take the skis back. I would try taking them to a different shop. Sometimes you will get a better person and he will do a better job. With that base weld try cutting little nicks into the part that you want the weld to stay stuck into. Good luck.

if it is a core shot a base weld might not work unless they use epoxy. a base weld can get in the core and it will cause air bubbles to come out as they are welding it. so in turn the base weld will come out. ptex can do the same thing. I doubt armada will take them back. you will just have to deal with it. also you dona't need perfect skis to ski. you should see my skis

yea but the reason they put the base weld in in the first place was because they said that moisture will get in between the edge and the inside of the ski and when it freezes again it will push the edge right out of the ski.

well, if the shop keeps cutting up your skis, and the welds dont hold, then tell them to get you new skis cuz they were the ones that fucked them up so much.

put epoxy in that sucker, you might have a little sticky spot but so what at least your core wont warp.

once you epoxy it, sand it down nice and smooth, then wax it really well. problem solved

any two part epoxy will do the job. check the local hardware store. its easy to work with, a simple do it yourself project.

i break skis all the time, and lots of the time i don't pay for them so i can't warranty them, but if i just take them to a local shop that carries that company, then i give them the broken skis and they contact the company and somehow get a new pair for me. I would try that if i were you, if that doesn't work, then yer skis shops suck dick for that and for fucking up your bases with shitty welds

your wrong/\ unfortunately all armada is going to tell you is that they cannot fulfill the warrenty due to the fact that they are fucked from sliding rails, and some baseweld. the warrenty covers workmanship, things like delaming, snapping in half etc. not slding rails and base welds falling out making your gashes worse. so no, dont call armada, and dont act angry. instead, go to your hardware store, buy some epoxy, and fix it yourself because its really simple to do. you should see my skogens, they have epoxy all over the bases, serves me just fine.

Basically, you gouged the shit out of your base and had your shop do a shitty job fixing them, and now you want new skis. Well, I hope you Armada tells you to eat cock, because you should. If anyone should be giving you new skis, it's your shop, not Armada. Gouges don't just happen, you either hit rocks, stumps, or rails, and none of that is covered by warranty. Warranty is there for manufacturer/material defects, and NOTHING ELSE. Cough up the cash for new skis or have a decent shop repair your gear.

i have armadas and mine are perfect. maybe you are just so bad that somehow you ruin skis by not being able to clear a jump. and second of all armada will waranty any damage on the ski due to a malfunction for a year after the purchase

they wont consider gouges from rails a malfunction because they will just tell you that they arent designed to slide rails. theres not much to discuss here, just fix them yourself and go ski for the fourth time.
