takn rust off rails

I have found a sick rail that i have soon to 'acuire' into my possesion, but its a little rusty on the top, not too super rusty, but doable. How could i take the rust off this rail? mass sandpaper, buffer or something? thanks.

a rail we slide has mass rust on it, we just use sand paper. it took less then 5 minutes and it was smooth as hell

you could also spray WD40 on it then scrub with steel wool.

/\ yeah cuz we all have sandblasters layin around. a corse wire brush in a power drill works the best if youve got that stuff. sandpaper gets the job done though.

i bought a 12 foot piece of pvc at my hardware store and it came out to be like 5.99 or somethin..really cheap

if you can slide pvc then you can slide metal, look at it that way.
