Long story short, after I had a few questions regarding binding adjustment (forward pressure etc.) I went hunting on the interwebs.
I dug up this pdf file which does a really thorough job at explaining the ins and outs of Solomon bindings. After seeing many questions similar to the one I had, I figured I'd do everyone a favor and post up the manual to save some people a search.
