Switch ups

I've been trying to do switch ups on rails since last year and i still can't quite make it around with both skis. I figure maybe practicing just jumping while sliding might help. Does anyone have any words of wisdom?

the easiest way to learn them is to be able to 270 out, and just start the 270 out early so you land on the rail instead of just landing on the ground. Once you got this down you can start the switchup earlier

are u trying blind sided or front side sitch ups cuz if ur bdoing a blind switch up when u get on the rail keep ur momentum going the same way and then just pop and turn. trying them on pvc pipe in ur back yard helps alot

thats how i learned them... and now i can do them on boxes there a lot of fun. Just swing your arms a little bit for blindside and just use your momentum.

its all in your shoulders, atleast it is for me. I need to turn my shoulder forward for frontside and look over my right shoulder for fs (i slide right foot 1st.) for backside i just do the saem but look back.

If i were u i would practice your switch ups on ftat down rails it is easier than just a box.  What you need to do when you get on the rail been your knees then pop and throw your headand shoulders it will turn you the other way then you ride away stoked!

Trick Tips Cult. But I'll tell you how anyway.
Lets say you already popped and turned 90 onto the rail and your about to switch up.
1. Pick a spot on the rail to switch up, towards the end of the rail is recommended to start.
2. Overcock your arms and shoulders like you preset the switch up before even starting the switch up.
3. Do a even pop not to much nor to little.
4. Spin your lower body to complete the switch up your upper body will follow and don't force it.
5. Make sure you land the switch up with both feet evenly on the rail so you don't slide out (look towards the end of the rail.
6. Get a good comfortable stable position and ride it out.
7 Afterbang naturally (dont force it it looks retarded dont wanna force anything or you look stupid or dont do the trick right)
Switch ups are easier on boxes because you can slide a little to start to end the switch up while on the rail you gota b clean and technical.

spinning your lower body first sounds a little odd. i always turn my had and shoulders around then my body follows.

I always found blindside switch ups a little bit easier by not approaching the rail directly straight on. If I come from the side a little bit, they seem to be easier. And learn 270's out first, that helped me a ton!

thats how i learned other then that a few things

1. join the trick tip cult or ask turpin

2. my advice is to come on with your shoulders overcrooked for whatever way your setting the switch up when your ready dig your edge in and pop hard your head and shoulders have mostly already done the rotation so your just swinging your lower body when you land back on the rail make sure to keep your shoulders square so you dont slip out

3. just look down the end of the rail and ride out
