Rockered park skis

i heard that pretty well half of next years skis got rocker, which is DOPE!!! i got the alpha ones and rocker on a park is the sweetest thing ever!!!!

ARTificial. Ski Company launches this coming fall.  Our park ski is 99 underfoot symmetrical, has 12 mm of camber underfoot and a 30/25 rocker.  Yea, i'm excited, too.

stiff rockered skis are waht park need right now, unless you have more vertival speed tehn horizontal, they'll hold up fine on fakie landing, just dont land on your face.

most skis are going to be normal next year rather than rockerd but i have the alpha ones and the rocker helps in pow a little but they still are not amazing but in the park the rocker lets you butter while still having  a stiff ski witch is very nice

It does decrease the pop both cuz you have a shorter cambered length and bc rockered skis, being pow oriented mostly, tend to have less camber height to pop with.

They also will want to wheelie more on switch landings.

They won't work as well on the hardpack outside the park.

OTOH, less hooky on landings and rails and better in soft snow.

I'd tend to think that rocker won't stick around in the park.

i got ep's and they have more pop than any park ski's ive ever had, they are poppy as hell. as for landings, yeah if you land backseat your gonna stay there for awhile, but ive been hitting 50 footers on my ep's and you gotta be really far backseat to actually wash out, if you land somewhat centered your fine. outside of the park, they carve like crazy, they are one of the better carving pow skis ive owned.

keep in mind that this is on the softest ski you can buy, and they do amazing in the park and all mountain.

plus you get a whole new feeling, even in the park you have this surfey, floating feeling, everything feels so smooth and buttery, it really changes the whole idea of riding park.

next year im probably gonna get some reno rockers, kung fujas, or maybe those ARTificial skis, cause if riding a pure pow ski in park makes it that much more fun, a rockered ski designed for park must be amazing.

He's begging to differ with the phrase he quoted that "rocker is pretty unnecessary for park skis", so are you saying that rocker is unnecessary for park skis? Try to read and understand what is going on before you make a pointless and stupid post.

yeah ive ridden tem, there def not the best ski, i've been on. i dont think i'll go back to a traditional park ski, except for pipe. alpha 1 is so fun in the park, its just stiff

I find rockered park skis have less pop. I had a pair of reno rockers for a while and didnt get anywhere near the same pop that I got on my Dumonts. Also with the rocker its way easier to get too back seat, though they are more playful.

Rockered and Non-Rockered both have their pluses and minuses.

pop comes from your legs not your skis, if you rely on your skis to pop for you, then you got a problem

nvm, yeah, for some reason i was thinking off a jump. but the alpha one is the perfect stiffness for nollie, cause it'll spring back harder.

Alpha1, Alpha2, Planks, Reno Rockers, Bibby Pros, Rossi has 2 I think but idk what they're called maybe the S3 or S5, LiveLifes,

So at least 7 or 8 thats not including ones that are really big mtn. skis that people use for park

this may surprise you but they are actually so much better for switch landings than you'd think, think about it this way.

your tails are raised above the snow there for less tail is touching decreasing the chance of catching your tail or back edge. and since less ski is touching the ground they ski really nicely switch.

my ep pros are my park skis and my powder skis, thats how much i love rocker for everything, they ski so well, im much better on my eps in the park than i am on my actual park skis, maybe its just me but i give a big thumbs up to rockered park skis and rocker in general!!!
