And several skiers men and women got hurt... because the conditions and set up sucked... to me that makes Jon.. smart? Cause now maybe he can compete and film and ski for the rest of the season? wow he really sounds like a bitch to me now..
He gives his explanation in his last video blog. It was dumping during practice and nobody had speed. Fortunately for the riders it cleared up for the finals and speed returned. Jon and Tanner were concerned about knuckling and both wanted to ski the rest of the year too. As much as I wanted to watch them, they have matured and know that JOSS is where it's at this year.
you are an idiot...Jon is a legend. He is still in the process of healing his knee, are you seriously going to give him this weak ass shit for not competing on a course that ruined 5 other skiers?
I was kind of glad they didn't. Think how cool that was for Bobby Brown to find out people there was gunna be an opening for him to get to compete instead of sit around all weekend.
huge fail here.
ask sarah or jf about the course being safe. no one wants to get wrecked, and espns circus is definitely not worth it, so fuck em, some people have more important shit to look forward to this season.
the girls didn't really have a choice. Since in was the first year of slopestyle for them they had to prove that they belonged to be there. it's just super shitty that the course was so unsafe.
Jon made a call in the circumstances that the weather wasn't cooperating. From that point, at point of no return time (either drop out or go all the way), it may or may not have turned around and offered enough speed to put down a run safely. Turned out that the weather DID improve, but there was no way he could know that when he had to make the call. Can't fault him for being unable to predict the future.
Do you know anything at all about skiing in general? Just use your head the next time you press that "Create Thread" button. That should help. Better yet, don't make any more.
i see it as... unlucky that it ended up clear... They just didn't wanna risk injury, i don't blame em' both tanner n Jon.. so givem a break dude (go pray for snow) haha seriously
juss wait till joss and you will be saying how hes the coolest guy in the industry...watch the blog him and tanner talk about there... choice to not compete...
I think is was all though out. I mean when the course is that big and your no feeling it why risk messing up your whole seasonif not your whole life. Both Tanner and Jon love the sport of skiing and they are both some, if not the most inffluencial riders of are time. Now if they did not feel it I think all we can do is accept the fact that they no more about their limits then we ever will soo i say we trust em and stop the hatin
