Seattle???

so im flying in to Seattle march 9th seattle tacome international airport (SEA) and have some questions
bought these since they were 78 bucks from ny both ways but have no clue what im doing once im getting there where im staying how to get to the city from the air port...etc

how far is the city away from the airport?
is there any way to get there ex. public transportation without renting a car, or how much would a taxi cost?
whats to do out there?
any nice cheep things to do in the city; eat, stay or sites to see

Taxi's are cheap, the airport is a 15 minute drive or so in good traffic. There are always shuttles and buses you can take too. Check out EMP, Pike Place Market or the Seattle Public Library, and the Sculpture park has some cool stuff in it too. For eats, get food at the market, probably your best bet.

If you want to get out further from downtown, take a bus to the U-district or Capitol Hill. Those are the best districts just to walk around in and see stuff.

are you renting a car?
dunno about the whole hotel situation or w/e but im sure you can find something...

seattle downtown is about 20 minutes away from airport, depending on traffic.
i'd highly recommend grabbing some grub at Dick's. great fries, shakes, and burgers.
Evogear is based out of seattle. if you can get a car you should call them up and ask for directions.
pike place market is quite an experience, and while you're at it you can grab some coffee at the original starbucks, which is at the market (virtually)

bunch more that im forgetting i'm sure. anything in specific you're looking for?

Best Dicks to go to is the Capitol Hill one, you get dinner and a free show.

Evo  is in Fremont, where I live. Its a sweet ski shop, but dont trek all the way out here just for that.

And as for coffee, go see the starbucks, but dont get coffee there. Real connoisseurs get it from Vivace and Victrola (google for locations).

When you get to the airport, go to the far end of the baggage claim (signs pointing to busses), and catch the 194. That bus will take you downtown. You can get off at 3rd and Pike, which is the hub for everything.
