anyway,
i really doubt you want to make your own skis, try to come up with an estimate on the cost for all of the supplies, materials, ect. once you have that, double it, then square it, then multiply by 5. and that should give you a good estimate on cost.
if you are serious, check out ON3P skis. the owner is on here and built his own press and now makes skis. he has a very detailed thread on here somewhere that you should check out. This is a HUGE commitment and isnt to be taken lightly.
