Who's uncle is this guy? and secondly, how many times can we expect him to say "MEGGGGA MO" next year? Also, Sal Masakela is an idiot. Big air was a travesty this year, the only difference from last year was that Hayden Christensen wasn't there this year. Picture a guy so completely out of his element with absolutely no idea as to what's going on and you have Hayden Christensen at Xgames. (you also have him in each of his movies.)

Uncle E has been around for ever and he does a decent job.  Its his job to push the x games side of things ie megamo but he does a good job with what he has

Mike D did a great job.  He is the best.  I give him so much credit.  And so he pushed salomon, he probably has a huge part in that company, its his sponsership, if you want their to be pro skiers then you have to deal with a little product push, get over it he did a great job.

i think most of us want to know how he came to be the announcer, what are his qualifications.  Because Mike Douglas is a pro skier, Sal is just an announcer from E, LVV was a pro skier, Chris Davenport is a pro skier(he used to announce at X right).  I'd assume he's pretty old in relation to most freeskiers so was he a moguler or simply likes skiing and is a good announcer.

This is from 2000-2001 when most of you were still playing t-ball in your backyard.  The tour obviously didnt become as bigs as the x games but espn was involved and it says that Uncle E himself could have won the Skier-X BUT HE LOVED PUTTING ON THE EVENT FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO ENJOY!!!

In the late 90's Uncle E was ripping up Squaw Valley.  He straightlined Eagle's Nest, which is absolutely insane.  He was a big mountain ripper who could out ski the vast majority of the park rats on this site.  In fact, he could probably out ski the majority of the kids at the x-games outside the park.  Straightlining Eagle's Nest is absolutely insane, for those of you who don't know.  Uncle E is absolutely legit, if you want to match his credentials you need to dominate a mountain like Squaw.

Uncle E and Douglas have been calling X together since 01' I believe. I still remember Douglas leaning out of the announcer's booth and yelling at the judges for giving Jon a crappy score during big air, way back before that shit was live. As far as announcing goes, they are both decent. Both make their far share of mistakes, but whatever. Pat Parnell and LVV are a better team in my opinion, even though when LVV mentioned afterbang, Parnell thought he meant turning on afterburners. Having an athlete announce is real key, gotta have a dude who knows the sport and of course you need the host dude to advertise the network and just do what they do. One thing I wish they would do away with is all the explanations. I get it, I mean people who don't know the sport want to know what all the terms mean, but damn, stop explaining every trick name and term. Just let the skiing speak for itself. I think seeing Pk throw a sick double or whatever will attract more people to the sport than describing every little detail about what just took place. Sorry to get off topic, but announcing has a long way to go IMO.

Hes really cool, kind of ecentric, I room with him every year at the denver ski show where hes the mc.  Hes been involved in the ski world since before most of us were born, and was a dirty freestyle skier back in the day. He also founded skier x.

i think it would be possible to simply correctly cite the trick (and grab name other than "style-e grab"), as the skier is going thru his/her run without making it sound too mumbo-jumbo for the common tv listener.
