i know it is a little late but i think simon will start crying once that he sees everyone on newschoolers hates him for the big air. I replyed meanly to him in a couple of threads and even made one hating on him, but i would just like to appologize simon your win was bullshit but we still love you.

jon olsson even said the day before in practice that dumont would probably win with a double front flip
all the competitors knew it should of been pk or jon who won

i didnt watch the big air, all i saw was the ninja flip to double front with a little superman second frontflip in a commercial, and i dont know what everyone else did, but i give him big props for doing a really really sick trick, if it were me judging id probably give him the win over another double from jon or whoever that we have seen a million times before.

dude i think Simon has matured a lot, and that we really saw his true colors with the whole Riley Poor situation. I give him mad respect for donating his winnings. And since he is going through an especially hard time right now, i think it would be nice if people left him alone

you sir are an idiot. everything about your comment is wrong. we've seen simon throw nothing other than double fronts and cork 10s at big air comps every fucking year since 2003. pk threw dub cork 12 which is unlike anyone else's double, and sw dub cork 12 which he's never thrown in comp before. both perfectly grabbed nosemutes and totally stomped. silence.

Good move on Simon's part. I was un-aware he donated he prize to Reily Poor.  That earns he some respect in my books.  Simon's been doing those double fronts for years now and they are not all that hard, but they take balls to throw and the layout in the second trick deserves props. It's a pretty blind trick that takes commitment.  I think everybody should chill on Simon because that is a huge act of kindness on his part. +++karma

4 years later, when he wins the most substantial big air event in the biz with that same trademark trick..  it's a little iffy.
but i'm glad he won.  too bad he didn't win superpipe too.  riley deserves it all.

Wow... anyone hating on a skiier like Dumont best be bloody good in my opinion. It's not his fault that the crowd like him, and needless to say his double was pretty smooth. I'm not saying that it might have been the best trick of the night but what I am trying to say is that hating on him for winning is not the right thing.

He also gave all his winnings to Riley so give the guy a break. All he's trying to do is shred.

Only the stupid kids who don't know shit hate on Dumont. Dumont deserved the win more than Jon did and he gave the money to his hurt friend. Could there be a cooler dude? To the people who said that Olson flips are better than double front flips, doesn't matter. Simon stretched the fuck out of his double front, how many of those have you seen like that? Besides, Jon is full of himself. He won't even respond to anyone unless you have one of those stupid fucking VIP passes hanging from your neck. Fuck you Jon and your lamborgini. You're still a better skiier than me though.. :(

i've seen about ten billion , the entire us aerials team can do them as well as any other joey willing to try a double front flip, the super man is cool but it is taught to people when they first learn front flips because it helps the take off, it even helps him spot out for his landing.  The kid that did the switch triple front flip opened up in the superman every flip because it helps the him know where is is in the air as well as helping him get around.  The double front is a crowd pleaser and I wondered why he didn't throw it last year because the average american thinks staight over flips are cooler and spins and loops.  The only thing that could have beaten him would have been Tanner Hall throwing a double back flip, because his name is more recognizable.

I also heard that he had like 2000 people voting for him that he knew.  Anyone know anything about this?  But I think dumont is sick and the donation is a really respectable thing to do.

You are a retard....there are tons of people out there who can do a dub front flip like that.  PK could've matched Simon's double front flip easily...but he is steezy and threw down two of the most insane dub corks I have ever seen. 

Jon's flips are much sicker, more technical, stomped even cleaner, and actually grabbed.  If Dumont wants to do a more front flips, at least do it switch, or add a double nose grab in or something.

Bottom line, you are a retard and a Dumont worshiper for writing this^

Simon is a sick skier, major props to him, double fronts are dope, cork 10s are dope, misty 10s are dope.
However, this is a COMPETITION we are talking about. Competitions are about the most difficult trick, executed the best. A double front is not the most difficult trick that was being done there. I could have seen the cork 10 winning, but PK, or Jon were more likely. Unfortunately it was text to win. Fortunately Simon did something really cool and donated the winnings to Riley Poor's recovery.
