not to sound sexist but girls are just not as good as dudes at almost everything. its a physical fact and most sports they cant be as good casue of there body build. i think its pretty bullshit to that they get equal prizes and watnot for doing something most kids can do at every mountain

women always want to be equal, but I feel they set a double standard for themselves. Now, I'm prepared to watch my karma drop, but remember, it's just an opinion: I remember seeing a thread on some up and coming girls from PC that included an edit. Yes, they are very good female skiiers, they probably could've won X-Games..however, all the comments were like"wow, super sick, unreal", when in reality, they were pretty stock tricks for men. I'm not trying to hate in any way, but if the same video had been posted by a guy, the comments whiile still positve, wouldn't have been so, overwhelming, per se

at one of our local comps first place girl got there money back ($30) and scond got 10. as for guys first got 210 and second got 175 and 3rd got 150

I believe judging is slightly favored in all categories like in snowboard pipe kevin pearce deff had the better run and shaun white won I think it needs to be more rider judged

i agree with the fact that girls just arent as good at guys at MOST things because of their body build, but i dont think its fair to say that they dont deserve the same prizes as guys. who cares if some of you guys can do them same shit on your own mountain! good for you. theyre just doing what they love just like all you guys and there is no reason to be hatin. your just jealous that you arent in the xgames like those girls. and i realize that its hard for you to see girls in "your sport" but deal with it cause im sure there are a lot of girls out there that would domonate a lot of guy skiers.

I would be absoloutley stoked out of my brain to see a girl pretzel a good sized down rail, or throw a solid rodeo 7 or switch 7 or 9.

But it almost never happens. The best trick I have seen from a girl is kayas attempted switch 10 at NZO last year. Guys aren't pissed because girls are invading their sport, little do you know most of us would love to rip with a girl who was skiing at our level. Hell i love skiing with girls as long as they can make it through the park in a decent manner. Dont make it sound like skiing makes no room for girls or pushes them out because "the guys dont want them". Almost every company now has a womens ski, girls are getting equal prize money and a girl that wouldn't stand out in your average park as a guy wins X games.

Fuck off with that stament. Come back when your realistic.

The fact that women are making 30 000 dollars or w/e to throw a 5 is ridiculous because almost every 13 year old park rat can do that.

yea i totally agree with this, we are in no way trying to keep girls out of "our sport" or at least i'm not. i fucking hate when girls say shit that makes us sound really sexist when were not. at windells this summer, i saw a girl pretzel a box and i was soo stoked, ive never seen that before. and there where girls throwing super sick full cabs over the jumps and 7s. and i wasnt jealous! im pretty bad on jumps and cant do that stuff, but i was still incredibly stoked that girls were stepping it up like that.  the problem with the x games awarding such large prizes to girls doing such basic tricks is that there isnt any drive for them.  we need to show them that they need to keep progressing and pushing themselves if they want to keep up.  it seems like there are a lot of sponsored girls who really don't deserve it, and therefore don't try as hard as they should. guys have to constantly step up their level of skiing to compete for sponsorships, whereas i feel that rate of progression is muuuch slower for girls.  girls are capable of waaay better skiing than they show, we just need to get them to unlock that potential. and trust me, i'm sure all us guys will be just as stoked as all you girls.
