Ok. First I'd like to say, I've got no hate towards you guys (mods) and I appreciate you keeping the riff-raff under control. It can't be an easy job, especially becasue the nature of the beast is such that your role gets you attention for solely negative reasons (i imagine, i've got nothin' to back that statement up). I can't imagine anyone says "wow, thanks guys for doing such a swell job," you probably see the vast majority of feedback along the lines of my post on this subject, "wtf dudes, why'd you delete my thread?" I also understand that because there are so many nuances of the mod-job, it's simply not feasible to answer every "why'd my post get deleted?" question. I suppose I'm just looking for, or think it would be nice, to possibly code for an auto-generated PM that lets us, the user, know that we got deleted. Notifying us that it happened, not necessarially why. It wouldn't have to contain a reason (though that would be nice, i.e. maybe 3 or 4 pre-entered reasons, like divorce papers [don't you get 3 options? infidelity, abuse and 'irreconcialiable differences] ). It'd be appreciated to at least get a heads up; rather than searching around the forums and "my ns" for a lost thread, all the time thinking to myself, "WTF, i swear i made it, where the f' is it? Dang, i was SOOO clever," *mocking myself for being douchy*. I'm sure if someone were to get [Auto Message: your thread has been deleted for general douchery] they'd at least have a pretty good idea of the line they were steppin' over. I posted a tongue-in-cheek Schrab brothers satire earlier, and I can only imagine the reason it got haxx0r'd was because of the flood of dopplegangerthreads in that forum. I put some effort, very small amount, into what i thought was a pretty funny satire of the x-games and i was, eh, for lack of better word, annoyed that it got deleted.
I'm over it. I didn't mean to drop the criticism on you. You dudes do a sick job of running this fantastic amalgam of comedy, shit talking, gossip, news, media, and classifieds: a site dedicated to the one thing that across our broad community we will all have in common, the one thing that we can all count on, during bad times and good, something we will all live and breathe until the day we die, sking. The one thing thing that permeates every aspect of each of our lives, a lens we view the world through. I've been a member of this site for a long time, know a decent amount of the administration, and even though i'm slowly moving out of the main NS demographic I still really enjoy taking a break from: my job/injury/drama/bills/bullshit/gas prices/summer heat/etc to get some quality NS time. Say Word.
