men are pulling double the spins of what the women are pulling.

the is why they dont need to progress though.
if they can 720, they can win gold. (sadly)
nothings getting harder, the competition is staying the same.

i have zero respect for womens boarding slope style. i could have done the silver medal run. so maybe i should be in the x games? men are doing switch backside 12's and women are straight airing? what the fuck?

Yea well it obviously didn't bother the guys, at least not enough to stop them from doing 9's, 10's and 12's. The thing that I don't understand with men vs. women in skiing and snowboarding is that there are no limiting factors that prevent women from potentially being as good as men, or at the very least coming close. I mean there aren't going to be 6"5' 250 pound jacked women that are going to be tight ends in the NFL, they just aren't built the same as guys. But with skiing and snowboarding, there is no reason they can't be better. Look at womens and mens gymnastics or men and womens tennis. They may not be on the same levels but both are damn good and there is no reason why skiing and boarding can't go there too. Sorry for the rant, i've been holding that in for a while.

The conditions changed DRAMATICALLY over the day. When the women went, it was absolutely terrible.

In the morning, the ski guys trained with the girls and they were all just as fucked as the girls, no one even attempted the transfer, most of the guys just tucked, did straight airs, and were still knuckling.

Later in the day, it turned to rain and the course got way faster, so by the time snowboard men got on it, it was fine.
