Binding Forward Pressure Question

I'll get right to the question.
If I bought a pair of skis and bindings together, and the BSL of the original boot the binding was meant for is 306mm and mine is 305mm.
Will I need to make any heel piece adjustments? (They are S914's for the record, with the driver toe). Can I fuck myself over by changing them by 1mm? Will it affect forward pressure at all?
Thanks.

there should be a window on the toe peice somewhere that shows the forward pressure settings

That would be din settings. Forward pressure is in the heelpiece, but if you don't know how to adjust it, I would take it to someone who does.

The forward pressure for that binding is in the heelpiece if i remember correctly, underneath the big din screw. There are a series of marks that a little sliding piece will line up with, snap your boot in and screw it in until it is in the middle of the marks. you shouldnt have to move it hardly at all because its only 1 mm difference. This is only a suggestion, DO NOT HOLD ME ACCOUNTABLE if you break your leg or whatever, if you are in doubt take it to a shop and a tech who can do it for you.

Wow, thanks for the fast responses guys.
I understand it is a *risky* procedure. I have done it in the past on Look pivot series bindings. Do you really think it would even be possible to mess the pressure up by adjusting it 1mm? Hell, I'm sure I could even use the bindings as they are now.

I'd be surprised if you even needed to adjust them for 1mm

Exactly my thoughts, However even if I did need to crank them an eighth of a turn on the screw would it really make any difference at all to the forward pressure?

yes, possibly
Any change in the screw will affect the forward pressure, but I think that with 1mm difference in BSL, then the forward pressure should still be set correctly
