Maybe scammed??? NS'rs advise needed

ok so i bought some shoes off here a while ago and made the payment and he said he shiiped Dec 10th. still no shoes....he says she shipped parcel post from Washington State and im in CT. also claims that theres no receipt. Idk....its been a month and 13 days....so now im asking you....what should i do...+k thanks

call the company for sure and figure out whats going on. maby the comany sent it and its at the post office so the company can track the order for you and find out where it is.. thats what happened to me when i bought road to nowhere for getboards.com

dog in the 4 years ive been on NS i havent ripped off a single person. check my feedback. i shipped those shoes like a month ago, and yea i dont have a receipt why would i keep it? they must have gotten lost in the mail man. theres nothing i can do about that

I would submit a claim to paypal. If you did this through Ebay, DO NOT FILE A DISPUTE. It takes months.

Go through all of your emails and keep the paypal reciepts, if you have them, on hold so that you have evidence of your purchase. Paypal will hunt that rat bastard down and get your money as long as you have he proper evidence.

Also, with your credit card company, file a chargeback claim. This will get you your money faster as well as leave your seller in a  situation of having to deal with a major card company as well as paypal. All in all, it's easy to get your money back.

im just backing up a fellow person from connecticut, clearly if you shipped the kid some shit and it didnt get there, YOU FUCKED UP, you can't just blame it on the mail carrier, this is why you get a TRACKING NUMBER so you can track the shit and prove to the person if it got lost or what, then if the mail carrier did actually lose your shit I assume they would compensate you somehow which you could then use to compensate him, for all we know you did just that and fucked this kid over, the burden is on you to get the shit to him not the other way around, don't forget that

ive never doen business with fireman, but he seems like a legit dude on here.

how much were the shoes? adn what kind? i mea if they were some beat ass skate shoes for 20bucks, then this thread is completley retarded. but for some nice nikes then this has gotta get figured.


also when dealin on ns soince half teh kids on here are sktech as fuck tracking numbers are a must, for both the buyers adn sellers protection.

Actualy you can. he did his part of shipping it. Once its in the mail its the carriers responsibility.

yeah but theres one thing that couldve been done to prevent this whole shitstorm, this dude getting a tracking number, because he didnt he cant prove the guy is lying and vice versa, but hes the one who fucked up because he didnt get the tracking number

im going to side with fireman on this one, if the kid was sketched about not getting his shoes he should of demanded a tracking number, thats what i would do in order to make sure the seller isnt scamming, its the buyers fault for not making the effort to make sure everything goes smooth. communication and lots of questions or even a phone call are musts.

its both of there faults, to seem as a true legit seller as he claims it would should have happened without saying that a tracking number would have been obtained and provided to the buyer.

its done and over with. the only thing you can do now is wait, or contact paypal or visa. and hope for reimbursment.

I'm sorry to hear this happening on NS but if I buy something I ALWAYS demand a tracking number. I will pay an extra couple dollars to get it. Also when I sell something I always add in a fee with the shipping for a tracking number. I also don't deal with paypal because they will NEVER help you out. I always send a usps money order and they have to sign for it. I may be selfish but I always look out for myself first so things like this don't happen.

NS doesn't get involved with the transactions between members on here, it's strictly a contract between you two, so this is just my input and not the website's...

It is the seller's responsibility to place the item in the hands of the buyer. Until the buyer receives the item, it is still at the seller's risk and still the seller's problem. There is only one exception to this: if you explicitly asked him if he wanted insurance and he said "no I don't". It's up to you to offer insurance.

So basically, file a paypal claim. And seller, next time keep the receipt and get a tracking number in case something like this happens.
