Can someone explain it to me, I have debating it for a while.  Higher numbers more flex right? that what I had been told at my shop.  My friend dissagrees, someone sort this out.

Except, there is no industry standard.  A flex rating of 90 with technica might be a 110 with atomic. But as a rule the boots get stiffer as the number gets higher.

and it depends on your weight/skiing ability. I was just writing this in another post too, a 140lb guy with 110 flex boots they are going to be stiff for him, while a 200lb guy it will be not quiet as stiff to him. but yeah the higher number, the stiffer the boot. usually like 80 for park, 100-110 all mountain, and 120+ for hard hard charging. nothing worse then charging a lot of powder and having your boots bottoming out on you the whole time. Stiffer boots also give you much more response. You make any little movent in your feet, your skis react, where as a soft boot (80) you have a lot more "play" in your movements.

my superchargers are really flexi for me, but I tried theses otheres with a lower number and they were really stiff.  Thanks for the clarification.

technically its supposed to correspond with the ammount of weight put into moving the boot 1 inch, so a 90 flex would need 90 lbs to move it 1 inch, but all companies ratings do change slightly, but ya the higher the number, the stiffer the bot will be, so a 80 flex is way softer than a 130 flex

My Banshee Pros are the best boots I've ever been in, and the 135 flex just makes it sweeter. These things don't blink at anything, and they crush the park.
