Now you have to understand that i am not being racist.  I was just poking a little fun and the culture that has grown amongst our African American brothers.  I have the GREATEST respect for President Obama, and I am incredibly excited about what is going on in our country;'s government.  This has been a long time in coming.
Anyone who knows me will understand that I was just making a harmless joke and it is IMPOSSIBLE to say that African Americans do not have their own culture in our country.
my question to you is:
Did i cross the line?

and two of my friends sent messages saying that they were getting complaints about me.
they thought it was racist and disrespectful.
whatever.

people read way too much into Facebook. i know this might end up sounding a little hypocritical, but for the time being, there are bound to be at least a couple of jokes made about his race. if you want to put a little joke about fried chicken in your status, nobody should judge you for it. i don't think i've ever met someone who wasn't a little racist in one way or another. i have friends from many different backgrounds and we all make little racist jokes about each other, but that's all it is. we don't mean any hate toward each other, we're just playing.
but in the end, people care too much about Facebook. for instance, i set my status to "Why party, when you can take 200 pictures of yourself pretending to party instead? Your Facebook won't know the difference."
i started recieving messages almost instantly, from almost every girl on my friends list, trying to defend themselves and their thousands of pictures against my nuclear status. i didn't think people would care that much, but apparently Facebook has just become that.

I'm kind of like:  If you have a problem with something i say, call me out.  I will explain why i said or it outright apologize.  maybe both.  this is history in the making.  It is us, as americans rising above our past differences.  Shoot me for rising above with a smile on my face, but i guess the day we are truly above racism is the day an upper class white male can make a comment like that and not be misunderstood.

Honestly, in this case, you shouldn't try to defend yourself. I personally don't care what shit you write on your facebook status, but other people do, and you'll be judged for it. With good reason too...

Hahahaha that is an epic status, I think I might have to thieve that shit for a little. I rarely update my status but when I do it's for the sole purpose of pissing off as many people as possible. Two of my favorites...

"Andrew eats immigrant Mexican children. What are you doing to keep America safe?"
"Andrew is taking a short trip to the library to masturbate. Yeah, you didn't see that one coming, did ya bitch?"

That last one stirred up some controversy... moral of the story is fuck what people think on  Facebook, you should be going out of your way to annoy them.

if mccain was elected, my status would have been, "4+ more years of a rich white dude.  good luck mccain..."

People throw the racism card way too often. To me racism is someone blatently hating on an entire race for no reason BUT because they are that race. I RARELY ever see that happening.... people just jump the gun and accuse everyone of being racist over every little thing.

Another racism thing that pisses me off is that a minority can go on and on making white racism jokes and stereotyping white people, but as soon as one white person utters ONE word the other way, everybody is going fucking nuts about it calling them a racist and supremesist and all this all bull shit.

well that's bull that you would get in trouble. it may not be the nicest status, and hell it may indeed be racist. but that doesn't mean you are barred from saying it. is this country not founded on the belief of freedom of speech? stupid or not, joke or not, why shouldn't you be allowed to say something like this? I don't necessarily agree, but that's my problem.

My mom asked me what i thought his first meal in the white house would me, i said Fried Chicken and she just laughed. People gotta learn to take a joke...

and as for that "Why party, when you can take 200 pictures of yourself pretending to party instead? Your Facebook won't know the difference." - i love that. i hate how people put up tons of pictures of them, especially drinking and smoking. Either no one wants to see that, or you can get in trouble for it.

i would have denied both requests. but either way, i can definitly see why people were offended by what you posted. no matter what your intention was, you shouldve thought about the effect it would have on other people.

aa similar situation would be me wearing a swastika and saying that im just wearing it as a symbol of peace.

its more tasteful that what my friend had but he didnt get in trouble.  he has been living in tennesse racing quads for the last year and this was his (minus his name): John Doe thinks it is kinda funny and disturbing that Bass Proshops is having a sale on Rope and White Sheets.

and he has yet to catch any flak for that.

Paris Hilton just found her new BFF on her MTV show, but could she already be looking for a fresh replacement?

While My New BFF winner Brittany Flickinger accompanied Paris to Sundance, it sounds like she was seen as dead weight by the party-loving heiress.

Instead of hanging with Brittany, Paris befriended former Danity Kane member and current Playboy cover girl Aubrey O'Day.

Paris reportedly left her supposed BFF at the Hollywood Life House. Later that night, when Brittany caught up with Paris and Aubrey at the Axe party, the twosome left her behind in the bathroom.

"She ran out and was like 'Wait for me! Don't leave me in the bathroom," according to an eyewitness.

So what's the problem with Brittany?

While her rep wasn't available for comment, Paris apparently moves quickly...casting calls just went out for the second season of My New BFF.

tell them to get the fuck off obamas dick and you were just joking around. same thing happened to me when he was elected and i put "all these obama statuses are getting annoying". my friend then started calling me out for "not liking obama enough". i said that just because hes black doesnt mean he will be a great president, and he called me out for being racist. people are way too oversensitive about tolerance and racism these days, and they are usually the same people that treat Obama like a god, which he is not. he is a politician aka a potential liar.
