Okay. Here is the deal. I'm 15 but I will be 16 in May and so my choices are...
#1- Play soccer with the team I have been playing with for 6 years and have made a lot of friends with. Work 4-5 days a week for 6 hour shifts making minimum wage which will be $9.50 in Canada during the 2009 summer for me. I'd work about 6 weeks, putting me at about 1200 or 1300 bucks? Factor in I'll get some weekends at my cottage, chill time with friends, sleep in from time to time, and get a wicked employee discount at this store near my house that my family and I buy skis, clothes, bikes, shoes, jackets, you name it, it's a dope store (no not walmart). Anyways those are the factors I can remember for option one.
#2- Go to camp and be an LIT (counselour in training bascially) in August for 5 weeks. One week of canoe trip in Algonquin park in Ontario, with my friends (girls and guys). Then back to camp and waking up at like 7:00 am every morning, looking after young kids during the day and working at activities (hopefully sailing which I love and canoeing or something). Then at night chill times with friends I hope and then repeat until about the end of summer. I would have July off but I would not be able to play soccer cause I play at a high level and can't miss that much time.
Costs involved : Soccer = approximately $1000-1200 dollars which my parents pay.
Camp = Like $3700 which my parents would pay.
I know these seems like an obvious choice but camp is like my most relaxed, favourite time during the whole year like there is not a care in the world and no parents no siblings and this would be my 7th summer returning.
CONVINCE ME PLEASE! I HAVE TO DECIDE WITHIN THE NEXT 2-3 DAYS!!!!
This is the hardest decision I have had yet throughout my 16 year life.
