had first day of classes for this semester, freakin sucks. and i need to get a job because best buy laid me off and i need monies. and their is no food in the fridge. i wanna go back to winter break and have my mom make me food

York university just decided to extend its 8 week strike after a vote by the TA's. That means 50,000 are still not getting the education they are paying for....BULLLLL . Be greatfull you are getting an education

yea same, today was my first day of class... at least ur prob not taking a Film History class, first day consisted of a 3.5hour (6-9:30pm) silent film from 1903... absolute most boring class ive ever experienced

first week back after xmas is so much harder than the first week back after summer it seems.

and i honestly hate it here but i deal with it because i know that suffering for an education now will pay off in the long run. I feel like high school was spent waiting for college, then when college isn't what you expected, you spend college waiting to get out and get a real job and start your actual, non school life

hahaha yea dude high school was awful. it was like a giant day care center that ripped you off on food prices. kids would gamble what money they had in lunch just in hopes of winning so they could buy food. it was stupid. now im in college and all i gotta do is swipe a card. EPIC WIN. and you have no parents nagging you about your schoolwork or doing chores or whatever. it actually makes me want to do my work now that theres nobody breathing down my neck. and every weekend is a party. so yea. EPIC WIN again.

but back to the thread topic, ive been here since the 10th, so waaaaa waaaaa....

i had one of those tonight. sociology... easiest class i have ever sat in, ever.  i had my business law class earlier in the morning though, my teacher is a blond, monotone, ditz. and i had to listen to her give a lecture for 2 hours, i wanted to off myself.

I have class from 8:30 this morning to 4:10 this afternoon, with roughly an hour for lunch. God it sucks, but  then I'm done till Monday at 5:30 which is nice. and I've been skiing a lot so I guess I can't complain to have class two days a week..
