Man. seriously, I think I have the WORST luck with ski gear. When I first started buying twin tips when they first came out I would go through a shit ton of skis a year... I do believe my record is 7 pairs of skis in one season. Since then, it has been up and down - some years I didn't even break anything! holy shit eh?
Last year was one that tested my patience with the bindings on my park skis breaking, followed a week later by the bindings on my pow skis breaking... my solution to this problem was to bring the two bindings together and mount a mix matched pair of bindings on my pow skis... then the heal piece proceeded to rip out of my pow skis at least a handful of times, leaving me with no skis for the last month of the hill being open. I borrowed park skis for the last month, but couldn't go touring for the pow for march and april (and the pow was sick for those two months).
This year I bought a new set up, super stoked on having new shit that won't break and will perform to the tits... 3 days in - I break one of my brand new Marker Dukes... luckily I had a friend that had one Duke and he gave it to me to mount on my skis so I didn't have to wait till the warrantee went through... This brings me to yesterday.. I delamed my new Armada JJ's under the heal piece... So shit... Now I've got to decide weather to buy a new pair of bindings for my park skis or pay rent for Feb.
One way you can look at this in a good way is the fact that we are in the middle of one of the worst seasons I have ever experienced in my life. The worst being 04/05 based out of Fernie, BC.
As for the point of this thread... I'm not sure if there is one.. I just needed to vent a bit., that's all.
