i was going up the tow rope at the park and i fell on my pole and broke it and i felt like a idiot
just had a steezy run on the bussiest day of the year, feelin pretty cocky once i got to the bottom when i went to stop i cought a little ice ruut ( prolly a snowboarder made the last night before everything froze slammin his board on the gound like a moron) fell flat on my face and my goggles impaled my temple and gave me a big black eye for the 1st day back from winter break. Major gayperness!! just told everybody i got in a fight
not really my gaper moment, but def really gaper.
My friends and I were at Beaver Creek and one of them was riding tele skis. We went to this overlook deck thing and people started to take off their skis and jump off the deck into deep pow. The kid with teles dropped his ski off the side of the deck but it didnt land in the pow and since teles dont have brakes the ski took off straight down the trail. I had to bomb down half of the mountain but I cought it right before it dropped off into this closed trail. We gave the kid shit for months about it
hahahaha oh jeez i had mine the weekend before i left for college.
was up at west mountain in queensbury ny, which isnt much of a mountain. but it is an attractant for upper class gapers, and gapers of all class. well anyways they actually have a park crew this year which i find REALLY funny because theres not much of a park. well anyways i get up to this first jump which happened to be the largest, with a gap of roughly 10 feet. i see it, not to worringly, plan hit it. with confidence i approach the jump expecting to throw a 3 for starters. i get to the base of the takeoff and realize that i am going way too fast, so i bail on the 3 and hardcore snowplow to slow myself down. then i hit the jump but ended up landing short haha. i landed right on the knuckle, which was a block of ice, along with the landing. and, of course, the landing dropped off hardcore, so the knuckle was very highlighted. landing on this knuckle, i lost one of my skis, which led to me sliding helplessly down the landing and to the flat ground below. i was ashamed.
sparknotes: i failed to clear a 10 ft gap, landed on an icey knuckle, and released from 1 ski, leaving me helplessly sliding to a stop.
