So my 07/08 4FRNT TNKs are starting to die on me but I don't have too much money right now but I need a new park ski ASAP! The Dynastar Troubles are pretty affordable at $330 and seem to be a good ski. I'm pretty sure they are just the original Trouble Makers with new graphics. Anyways has anyone skied the new 08/09 Troubles and have anything to say about them? Any positive or negative feedback would be really really appreciated! Thanks!
both sets of trouble makers i've had have held up super good. top sheet stays lookin fresh all thru the season(s). and i think the troubles still have that black edge protection crap that the black and green trouble makers had and it seems to work really well. all in all, they're stiff, springy, durable skis.... also, i noticed at the first dew tour stop slopestyle, all of dynastar's riders were on troubles instead of trouble makers...hope that helped
FYI...he's not referring to the Troublemakers, but the Troubles.
The Troubles are a pipe ski at heart. I bought them for that reason, and the fact that they were $330. They're pretty stiff, but I've only logged about 5-7 days on them this season. They are very light and easy to spin with. The ski itself is pretty straight, so it's not a turning machine, but overall you can still ski the whole mountain with it. Also, I haven't noticed any shoddy construction issues after taking them down rails.
Summary - pretty good pair of skis for the park for short money. Buy away...
That is surprising that they held up. My brother had the black and green troublemakers and the topsheet stayed in decent shape, but most of the edges are gone and the black edge protector things are tearing off as well
