i agree all of those artists listed don't even have any real talent. lil wayne just just changes his voice with computer software anyway. my favorites are:

Jedi Mind Tricks- any song all good

DL Incognito- any song all good

Hilltop Hoods- Nosebleed Section and recapturing the vibe

so many good hip-hop/rap artists out there! just a shame that so many people are to obsessed with mainstream stuff to open their eyes and ears and look aroungd for less heard stuff.

how the hell could you say Lil Wayne isnt hip hop? you kidding me. listen to any of his mixtape shit (Drought 4,5,6, Dedication 2,3.....the list goes on). Wayne is crazy on the mic, lyrics are insane and just because he hit the main stage and blew up doens't mean he's wack. You need to listen to his shit and not just look at Lollipop as representation of all his work. damn

Didn't know Zion I even MC'd, I thought he was strictly a DJ... fuck me sideways, I gotta get on that shit. Your opinions on hip hop have been pretty consistent with my own from what I've seen so if you say he's that good... Chali 2na is an animal though, easily the best voice in hip hop and definitely up there as one of the best flows as well.

Yeah, Zion I consists of a DJ called AmpLive and an MC called Zumbi.  Zumbi destroys mics and AmpLive destroys speakers.  Together they put that shit back together again. Haha.

I've posted a bunch of thier shit in the 420 forum but i can repost them if you want.  They'll probably end up being one of your new favorite artists if I can tell your taste in music from what I've seen.

No, he's not. If for whatever incomprehensible reason you enjoy his music then that's your opinion - whatever. But he is an a fucking abysmal lyricist. His rhymes are the very definition of basic except in extremely rare cases on his older mixtapes where they could be described as mediocre at best. His range of topics is about as broad as an anorexic Ethiopian child and about as compelling as an R.L. Stein novel. Lastly, he flows like a constipated old man who hasn't consumed anything besides Saltines for three days. Those three metaphors alone were better than anything Li'l Wayne has ever come up with. Ever. He is a talentless abomination who has sold off every last grain of artistic integrity.

Listen to ANY of the following musicians/groups and tell me you still think that Li'l Wayne is a skilled MC.

Cunninlynguists, Jurassic 5, Qwel, Surreal, Insight, Sleep, Non Phixion, Problemaddicts, Del, Slug, Binary Star, Big L, Big Pun, Eyedea, Louis Logic, Murs, Sweatshop Union, Necro, People Under the Stairs, Main Flow, Doomtree, Rakim, Blue Scholars, Common Market, Celph Titled, Apathy, Hieroglyphics, Hilltop Hoods
Diverse, Pep Love, Slick Rick, the Grouch...

And these are just names that are so substantially better that they immediately put Wayne to shame (that right there was a fucking Weezy rhyme, did you see what I did there?), there are countless more who slaughter him who I didn't even mention and it's already a long fucking list.

If you don't know who he is, you'll recognize many of these songs. Keep in mind he produced all of the original versions of these classic and now he is remixing them like none other. I like some of these versions better than the originals and that says quite a lot about buckwild's production. Amazing shit.

Staggeringly mediocre. His "multi-syllable rhymes" usually had the same words in them.. "dungeon I glow/sunny I glow/money I go"... that isn't that hard to come up with, really. There's a few decent ones, "sizzle to death/gimme a sec", nothing overly impressive but not terrible and then it's back to a bunch of "them at", "with that" and "be at"s. He isn't rapping about anything overly clever. Again, it's not TERRIBLE... but that's pretty much the best I've seen from Li'l Wayne and it would be considered a bad song from any of the artists I listed.
