exactly, the ball is knocked loose before his arm came forward, thus he didn't have possession. It just happened that the ball fell and his arm hit it forward, making it look like he was throwing it.

And the reason they didn't review it was because the review official takes an initial look at the play before he calls for an actual review, and he didn't see that the play should be reviewed. For the sake of keeping the game fair they probably should have reviewed it so that there's no dispute, but they got the call right.

It wouldn't matter if he was pump faking or not, it would still be an incomplete pass.  Actually that might just be a special rule for tom brady, I forget.

But yeah it was a good game, but that was definitely a fumble.  It still should have been reviewed though.
