What ski width is right for me?

Hey I just got my skis stolen the other day, so I'm looking for some advice on new skis.  I had older Line Chronics that were 110-80-103, but I'm looking for something a little more flexy since I spend most of my time in the park doing rails and some decent sized jumps.  Symmetrical twin tip/ center mount is a must.  I'm pretty much deciding between Line Invaders or Anthems.  I was wondering if a jump from an 80mm waist to a 93mm waist on the Anthem would be too much.  I would get Invaders but I'm worried about them being a little too flexy (I'm 6'1" 180lbs.) and since the Anthems are wider I figured they would be a little stiffer since there's more ski to flex.  I'm leaning towards the Anthems, just because I've heard that a wider ski makes it easier to land jumps, but I don't know if it would be too wide for tech rail tricks.

Does anyone have experience with either the Invaders and/or Anthems?  If so let me know your weight and everything and what kind of riding you do.

I was in the same predicament you were in. I skied both, and honestly I liked the Anthems more, but hated the graphic (wolves). So I bought the Invaders. The Anthems definitely are solid skis, so are the invaders. But personally I'd take Anthems.

I  personally ride the 08  anthems and they are sick. The skis I had before them had under an 80 waist and the transition was no problem. Sure they were a little awkward at first, but after a few runs its like you had been skiing on wide skis your whole life. As for rails they do great, I cant say much about the technical trick side of them because I'm still learning that stuff myself, but just hitting them the regular way they work fine.
As for jumps they work great, the width does make them a little more stable on landings, (although that part could all be in my head) and I have not had them wash out from me.

Im 6 foot 1 or 2 and about 170 lbs, and I ride them all over the mountain. They do pow, groomers, park, and just about anything else I throw at them.

im 6'2 and 155lbs, went from 113-80-104 to the anthems without problems, took like one run to get used to it, and theyre a great ski, havent hit huge jumps yet, probally 15- 20 ish, and rails feel alot better to me, but im also just starting out in park (like 2nd season) so im getting basics dialed in, no switchups or spins etc.  and the 09 graphics are dope.

how often do you go skiing? this is my first year skiing, and park skiing and i can spin 3s already, and working on 270s out and sw ups.

well last season i didnt get out much cause i was in CO working AND going to college fulltime.  i am skiing alot more this season cause im not in school nd i work at the mtn with 2 days off a week, im starting to learn more really quick now, trying 3's, opp grinds, and kinks today at the park.


and, i eat alot, it just my metabolism and how active i am.

well i ride the invaders but i mostly ride just park. there nice for rails, butters and they have great pop. the anthems however are a little wider which gives you more balance on rails and makes landing more smoother if you hit the bigger jumps. its still super flexy and has good pop and you can pretty much take them anywhere.

go with anthems dude. i also skied 80mm chrons and went to anthems and loved them. you won't feel the extra width and they are super lite so im sure you'll still be able to get techy on rails.
