Bluehouse Mount Question

I just got my bluehouse mr's (super stoked) but was wondering two things:

Where should I mount these (I ride mostly EC, at Stowe) and,

The skis come with scales on the side, but the scales aren't on the same spot on both skis, so if I mount it boot center over the "0" on both skis they would be in different spots. So my question is: Is one ski measured from tip and the other from tail?

Just measure it out with a ruler, figure out how far back u want from center, and mark a fatty line.

Tell them to mount there or you'll castrate them with samurai swords.

Just to let you know the measuring on the skis are off.  I found that out the hard way.

shit i meant more then how they are different spots of the ski. Like they're a couple cms off it sucks. It also sucks when the shop thinks that the 0 means dead center.

So should I just go from Bluehouse's website which says something like true center is 84 cm from tail and ask them to mount the boot center at true center?

in my opinion i would just measure it yourself, i bet the way the scale is printed is probably the factories fault, It happened last year too. Its not that hard.  just get a long measuring tape and mark down dead center. And make sure that you tell the shop techs to mount it there.

Just wondering, what size did you get? I got this years 179s and love them in powder and nice long turns, but i also have last years 171s and they're for park. You'll love them, they're great skis.

I got this years MR in 179. I'm a tall guy though so I figured they'd  be good inside and outside the park. So just get a metric tape and measure out to true center and mark, and then have them mount boot center over that mark?

huh.. i have bluehouse mr 179s and i mounted them on the 0 line and they ski just fine. maybe i'm the only one with a pair that isnt marked wrong?

Yeah my zero lines are in two different spots on both the skis. Haha, so if I mount on zero on both skis my boots are going to be in different spots.

yeah thats me and my dad are doing.  But i bet you could just ask them to do it for you and watch them do it and if you're not feeling comfortable with what they're doing say something as soon as you see them doing it. But you should always clarify what you want and everything.


And yeah the 179s kick ass, i love them.

I mounted mine 1cm back from dead center.  and found out why to draw a line the hard way, the mounted my skis way back and I had to make one of those crazy bitching customer scenes in the store until they agreed to buy me a new pair.  So just go the easy way and get a tape measure out, draw a centerline then take a piece of masking tape with an arrow pointing to the line you have drawn and a message saying: MOUNT HERE  then maybe just maybe they will get it right.  Oh and my mounting point rocks... I love the way they ride.
