Do you people really think that Line, after working all these years to create a legit product by weeding out all the durability problems that plagued the company in their infancy, is going to release a ski that is going to snap like a twig? I think not. Line put four straight years of development into this ski and I'm willing to bet that a good 3 years of that was testing it and making sure that there weren't any issues like the ones you mentione above. Snapping, chipping, de-lamming, water damage: all of it had to have been rigorously tested for over the past four years, thereby leaving us with a finished and durable product that can live up to what Line promises.
Also, on a similiar note, skis, in general, do not go through nearly as much stress as skateboards do. Think about it. With the trucks of a skateboard focusing all the pressure on two small areas of the deck and coupled with the fact that skateboards are constantly landing on rock solid concrete, a substance that's not particularly known for its forgiving hardness, the impact that skateboards endure on a daily basis is so much more severe than what we put our skis through and thus our skis shouldn't have to match the durability of a skateboard, so why is it relavent?
