I think that this debate on NS is based on about 1% research and 99% philosophy. The people that think that man is destroying the earth believe in global warming; it fits their schema about mankind. The people that believe that man is not destroying the earth do not believe that global warming is occuring, and or do not believe it is human cause.
The last thing that I will say is that the majority of scientists have observed an overall increase in global temperatures that has occured much faster than any previous warming or cooling cycle in the past 500,000 years give or take. It is true that it has been much warmer and much colder on this planet than it is today. The only thing that is uncertain is whether or not this is human caused. Since the measurements of CO2 increases correllate with the industrial revolution, scientists can infer that it is due to humans. This is a separate issue from 'what should be done about it'. That is a separate debate completely, and actually not even a real debate because no matter what the global warming debate outcome is, no one is going to do anything to stop it anyway.
All I'm saying is when it is the scientific community vs. conservative politicians/knownothings on newschoolers, I'm in with the scientists every time.
ooooh snap. how is this cover relevant at all? Its true scientists make mistakes sometimes, unlike you, who somehow manages to be wrong every time.
i didn't feel like reading all these, so sorry if anyone else has already said this.
Global warming is a natural thing, its happened before and it will happen again. I think we are speeding it up some with all the emissions we put out, but it was still going to inevitably happen. The reason its getting cold is because the polar ice caps are melting therefore makeing the temp drop.
