ive been listening to kid cudi for a couple months
im not as much a fan of day n nite, i like down and out alot,
my fave is definatly T.G.I.F. because in the chorus they say "my swag my STEEZ makes a nigga sky high"
i pracitically came in my pants when i heard steez in a rap song

I love Day and Nite, and The Prayer. Sometimes though I feel like he's just a part of the bigger cookie cutter attempt @ post-hiphop. 99% of the new dance-infused hip hop is garbage, I just miss the days of Illmatic.

Jay Electronica however has been a refreshing answer to hip hop. Peep his stuff

Kid Cudi, Charles Hamilton, Asher Roth, Jay Electronica, Kidz in the Hall, Wale, and the rest of the crew are fucking sick. However, kids that have recently discovered these fine artists recently play the shit out of their most popular song, rant about it like it didn't come out almost a year ago acting as if it is brand new, and generally annoy the shit out me/you by asking if I've heard the song. It's too bad.. hip-hop is starting to seem refreshed but still could succumb to the same fate as Kanye, Lil' Wayne, and mid-career Jay-Z.

sorta true but way too apocalyptic.

all music gets discovered some day. just because i heard a-wax, mitchy slick, messy marv, etc etc et first from a friend of mine who is a friend of theirs doesnt mean i get mad when people listen to e-40 and claim the shit out of "hyphy"

i know that is not exactly on topic im just saying. a discovery on a ski website like this is better than in a fucking random bro filled fraternity or preppy school lunchroom.
