Remounting Bindings question

Best advice here is...If you don't know, don't do it.

if you don't know what your are doing don't do it yourself. go to your shop and ask them to remount them for you, they'll probaby use some heli coils in the original drill holes and you'll be set.

^thats probably doable but pretty sketch. it greatly increases the chances of your rippin your binding out. but if its far enough away from the original mount your prolly alright

if they're the same binding you can just screw em into the original holes but be careful to do it tight but not too tight other wise you'll bust through the ski and then u'll be kinda fucked. after u screw them in take your boot and put them on top of the binding, then on the bottom on the back of the heel piece there will be a piece of metal on top of base plate ( ull see probally a flat metal plate with a bunch of holes in which u can set ur heel piece) then depending on ur bindings take a flat head screwdrive, put it underneth the piece of metal sticking out (above the plate with all the little holes) once u pry the metal flap up take the heel piece and get it as close as u can to the size of ur boot (make sure the front of your boot is in the toe piece with the heel above the heel piece on your binding) once you find the snuggest fit, pull out the drive and move the heel piece either front or back till u hear a click or till u cant move it anymore. then take your boot and click it into the bindings. take either a screw driver or a phillips and tighten the din on your toe and heel piece depending on how tight you want it ( i suggest a 10 or 12 din setting depending on your binding) tighten the toe 2 - 4 more than the heel that way u have a less chance of blowing out ur ACL or fucking up your knees when u eat shit sideways) once ur done with all of that, grab ur boot (still Clicked in) and press as hard as you can forward and hard as u can back. if ur boot pops out too easy tighten the din on the toe and heel (depending on how u ski u really shouldnt be able to pop ur boot out with ur arms unless ur a lumberjack). its pretty simple n easy and u'll save money from mounting charges at the ski shop ( which really over prices for basically just tightening screws and they fuck up alot too which can leed to water getting into the holes and totally fucking up your skis or not tightening enough that could rip out the top of your skis and then ur fucked). good luck.

Dont forget to add glue in the holes before you screw the screws in.  The glue is there not to hold the screws in, but its there to keep it water tight.  If water gets in the hole, then you are f***ked.

can you re-mount bindings in the exact same position, for example if i buy some skis that were centre mounted but the bindings have been removed can i still put my in the same wholes without any issues???

First off, it'd be nice if you could actually type in English, simple grammar isn't too hard.

But really, things like this is how people get hurt, saying "10-12 din with the toe 2-4 more than the heel" without knowing anything about the skier, is pretty ignorant. Just take it to a shop and get it done right, you'll be happy you did.

DO NOT listen to this guy,

you are wrong on so many accounts.

1: the holes need glued, not a permanant glue, just something to keep out the water

2: you dont just crank up the DIN to 12 and if your boot pops out crank it up more. that has to be the dumbest advice i have ever heard. if you dont have experience with bindings DO NOT TELL OTHER PEOPLE HOW TO ADJUST THEM! There are more adjustments than just sliding up the heel piece, and the boot should never just "pop out" at 12

Do NOT do this yourself. I would be afraid to ski with bindings I've mounted myself.
