Europe - mid mirch- mid april

I am looking to go to Europe skiing for a month from mid march to mid april

All of us involved are on a budget but are aware that at the end of the season the snow might not be that great in lower resorts.

So which resorts should we look out for at this time of the season and which would be good if we are going on a budget from England?

For that time of year... Val Thorens because it's super high up! Maybe try St Martin De Belleville which is the next valley over and pretty cheap and you can get the lift over to ski VT.

Val D'Isere or Tignes will have great snow, Tignes will be cheaper with more apartment style accommodation.
Val Thorens will be sick, the snow is generally on form there until the middle of April.
Le Deux Alpes will also have a sick setup at that time of year.
Personally for the mix of expense, park, possibility of fresh, nightlife and general conditions I'd head to VT. If you get the Belleville pass which is the VT valley pass it's €170 a week which is the same in pounds about now. Killy will be more I think it's €220, the same as all 3vallees.

There are other places but the snow will be best high in Val Thorens or somewhere with a big ol' glacier like Tignes/LDA.

JOSS is going down from 20th of March to 5th of April in Ã…re and Trysil, Sweden/Norway. Both places has great skiing to offer and much fun to be had, Scandinavia does usually not support the avreage budget kinda trip.

RtC is on the money, a place with a glacier would also be a good bet. Prices for a pass are ridiculous in the VT valley and surrounding area but for 220 euros a week you can get a pass that covers the entire trois vallee area which is fucking massive, you won't get bored.

My recommendation would be to go to Tignes. Mid march is often the best time to go- for some wierd reason almost every year the biggest dump of snow of the season happens in early march. Stay at Chalet Chardons in Tignes les Brevieres- it's the only hostel-type accomadation and as such is filled with young people, great time. If there's no fresh, the Val d'Isere park this year is really, really sick now that it's run by DC, and especially since coreUPT showed up in Tignes, the park is now one of the best in the alps. If there is fresh, the terrain in Tignes and Val d'Isere blows VT and L2A out the water. Enjoy.
