4th is real good I think, looks like he got the flash just right, didnt blow you out and got decent lighting on the jump..

I love night shoots, they always turn out sick

The first Rodeo is sick man. The photographer did a good job with the lighting and the timing of the shot. It's crisp and the colours pop, just what you want from a strobe shot.

No abuse, you just need to grab that shit...

Actually, looking at it full size, it's slightly blurry around the edges. Small size though it's sick.
What speed and fstop was it shot on, and what strobe setup are you using?

Shot with a Nikon d300 and Nikon 50/f1.8

1/200
f/3.5
iso 320

2 Nikon sb28's with elinchrom skyports

main flash camera right at skier height fired at full power and 24mm

second flash camera left just to the side of the lip of the jump on the ground fired at 1/4 power and 70mm

No joke, but that was actually my first ever rodeo attempt. I fell on the first two and stomped the third one. Such a good feeling. So no worries, I'll be grabbing that shit soon.

every shot is sick just the second one the person is a little overexposed but over really nice, and nice flash placement

I  really like the composition of 4 and 5, the color spot perfectly in the lower right corner balanced by the black and white jump and all the dark negative space... noice. The only thing I'd say is shoot it from a slightly higher angle that way you might avoid looking awkwardly close to the lip of the jump.

really good shots, but the photographer should try to get different angles or lighting effects, kinda repetitive to look at the same picture, but with the skier in a different body position if ya know what I mean.

composition blows. and Its the exact same for every shot, the skier centered, and very low in the frame, making the jump look to be about the size of a rail lip.  Why were these shot vertical and from behind the jump? The lighting is meh in most of them, and there is a fair amount of motion blur.

but ya the composition and size of the jump just ruins the photos. There is nothing to them.

Maybe a little harsh? But thanks for the criticism. It was kind of a spur of the moment thing for less than an hour right before the hill closed on a Sunday night, so we did the best we could with the limited time and terrain (skiing in PA is nothing special). Oh and your picture made me lol.

What I would have done:

shot from below the jump looking up, this will make the jump appear larger then these shots do. If you were able to get a rodeo 5 around the jump must be bigger then it looks in these pics.
Also shoot at 1/250, and increase the power of the strobes, there is too much motion blur going on. With two flashes there should be no reason for that unintentional motion blur. 
Get close, shoot wider.
Move the Strobes. one behind to provide a rim @ 1/2
then double up two and place them 45 degrees from the camera,  both @ full power
