yo ill be goin to killington during spring break and just wanted to know what kind of parks there are there. is it mostly rails or do they have kickers and shit?

thye might have some rollers and a few boxes, and theyll have there halfpipe of course, and you cant forget about the stash

this shows the lay out for all the parks... they probally update it when they change it i went for the 50th annaversy thing dec 14 and the 2 parks open were decent for early season

the stash sucks, especially for skiers, but they just opened up dream maker with a dope jump line. rail garden into 40 footer into 30 footer into hip into sick step up into 25 footer into 40 footer into 35 footer into little quarter pipe, and it flows you can hit everything in rapid sucsession.

yeah i was there saturday and dream maker was nice. they had 6 jumps open the last one the biggest was closed off. one was a step up that was very smooth. they also had timberline which is a much smaller park which is nice for beginners and trying new stuff but the jumps are very small. both on extreme opposite ends of the mountain away from each other. but those two are you best bets.

stay away from the stash. it looks nice but is pretty much all show

this new park sponsored by Burton. Its basically meant for snowboards and the rails are rly dirty for skiers. its all natural rails to, so its like trees and stuff like that. also the jumps are terrible. they are a base of logs with snow on top of it.

they had to rearrange all of bear to put this thing in to. rly stupid but got a lot of attention from ppl. everyone stands in it looks at all the features that no one would dare hit. so pointless

OK I have ridden Killy all my life and i love it there but Rosey (the park crew mangier) does not know what the hell he is doing.  The Dream maker park just opened (the biggest park) and the raiul set up is kinda fun but all the jumps are kinda small, 35 feet max, and there is no landings.  So if you dont hit the jump perfect, and i mean perfect, you overshoot the landing like a mother fucker.  also dont count on the pipe to be any good.  they started to cut it last weekend but its alwase a shitty ass pipe.  The stash is fun but still the jumps dont have much landings.  i love killy but they need to fire Rosey and hire someone who knows what he is doing.

I was just there, I dunno what it is usualy like but it was pretty weak for january. They have some weird park with like all concrete and wooden rails and small jumps made of logs. Then they had like a rainbow rail and a down flat down that were really good and some other boxes, and like 6 tiny jumps.

yea the jumps are like that mainly because of safety, but dont blame rosey on how bad they are, blame the cat driver that builds them. if you want a good park you need a park crew that is also nasty at riding park, which killington doesnt have.

I hate getting involved in this but I can't help myself.  I haven't been down the Dream Maker park yet but if it's anything like last year the jumps are not set up well at all.  Speed issues galore, they usually make 3 tiny jumps up to one bigger jump that if you hit the smaller ones you cant make the landing of the bigger one because there is no flow and you have to kill your landing to keep up speed.  They need to realize that Dream Maker is steep enough to have some bigger jumps but they  need to take out at least one and have a three jump line of similarly sized jumps.  Also Rosey does not understand that building small poorly built jumps with no lip and short landings is less safe than a correctly built 60+ foot stepdown with proper lip and landing(as long as you keep the gapers off).  I know from experience that most of killingtons park is a half assed job and when they talk about making it better as the season progresses they get lazy and think that it is good enough as is.  And also it would be nice if Rosey wan't biased against a skier park crew.

But I have learned that you have got to make the best of it and take advantage of the many good things that they have built around the park.

anybody know how the pipe is, i'm hoping its gonna be sweet but i'm not holding my breath, and are they gonna build a jump line(hopefully more than one jump) on the trail next to the pipe?

I skiied saturday, and the pipe was beautiful. Also, the jumps on dream maker are pretty awesome. Wayyyyyy better than the jumps in the park. It was pretty funny because the stash was super crowded, but dream maker had a much better set up and was basically empty
