Epic snowstorm! I got some of the first tracks in shoulder glades with freeskierbh and his friend Tom, it was steep and deep. Loon!!!!!

i have always heard about black mountain and how sick it is but never had the chance to try it. where does it come out because i have seen people come out at the top of brook way extension.

Ya I would like to know to.  Does it require hiking or do you just ski off the side of walking boss?  And as he said above, where does it come out?

^ It comes out at the top of brookway extension after taking a 8 minute traverse. Skiermatt, the glades off of Walking boss are the Shoulder Glades, for Black Mt, right as you get off the chair, start to go to walking boss, and enter the little area of trees with the sigh "Ski area boundery, we are not responsible, blah blah" and go through the path. Do it with someone that has done it first.

shit i didn't know any ns'ers skied black. Me and one of my best friends used to teach/eventually patrol. It's a great mountain and i think had some of the best glades in the east (if you know where to look)

Ha, no lie we were possibly the first kids there to use twins years ago. It was desperate to the point that me and my friend built our own rails to make a mini park. We knew the owner and he was down with it.

I mean uhhhh....black sucks. Don't go there. Terrible snow, no glades...and technically it doesn't exist. So don't look for it

oh no i know about both of them. I was trying to go along with the idea that black (from loon) was the shitty resort by throwing in a personal (sadly, true) story about the actual area to keep it a nice little secret. My bad, its that damn internet sarcasm thing that screwed me up.

i also wanted to add that i've never been able to ski the actual good black (near loon) but have heard legends of its epicness. Each time me and a few people plan a trip, something gets fucked up the night we leave or something and causes cancellation.

C'mon fools lets be serious here...if someone wants to head over to Black Mtn, let them.  I wasn't the first to ski there, and chances are neither were you, so quit hatin' on people who divulge the location.

I did run over no less than three monkeys over there tho...while they were in the air.
