So the time has come where  i need to get a new pair of shoes, and i have been looking online this time instead of driving to all the local skate shops looking for a shoe i like. However i am beginning to realize that there are TONS of fake shoes, and fake shoe websites out there.

i was looking into some nike sb's i like the ones with the Velcro tops Click for larger image

like so^^^

not sure what they are called with the Velcro tops, pretty sure they are not high tops.

what i was wondering is how do you tell if shoes are fake? and what are the best websites to buy them on?

ohh and feel free to discuss shoe logistics and if any of you have hookups and whatnot.

I own those shoes!!!!
they're nike sb dunk mids. i ordered mine from blindside in utah. they're legit.
if you're worried about fakes i would stick to skate shops and the like.

yeah, they are the dunk mids

and i'm pretty sure that www.pickyourshoes.com is legit, and they have every classic nike and nike SB you could want

why not get fakes? if you know your getting fakes, you going to spend a ton less. i got a pair of $250 dollar SB's for $55 cuz i bought them fake, and unless you know your shit, no one will know they are fake. pm me if you want me to hook you up with a website to gets fakes. dont hate on me for having fakes either :)

fakes are lame and buying them supports terrorism and other bad things. Plus they fall apart within the first week and real shoeheads will hate you.

Buy from online skateshops, CCS.com is good, pickyourshoes.com is good, utilityboardsupply.com is legit. Theres tons of them. Usually you can tell which ones are legit and which ones are fake, unless you are competely incompetent.

They come from China, so they dont support terrorism what so ever. I'v had mine for well over 6 months, probably coming up on a year, and they have lasted much longer than the real pair i have. And i don't know any shoeheads so im good with saving money

yea ive heard that you can tell by looking at the toungs of the shoes or something.

im just looking for a good deal, if they are fakes, but made by the same chinese companies that make the real nikes too i dont see the difference, however having authentic ones would be nice.

the fake ones i have, basically the leather isnt cut as clean and perfect as real ones, the seams arent are perfect, but you have to have them up to your face to see this, so no one even notices. and they look fine and feel fine, like real ones. pm me if you want some links or i can post here if more people want it

to each his own, personally I laugh at kids wearing fakes.

Think of it this way: If someone offered you a honda civic with lamborghini written on it, or a real lambo, which one are you gonna choose? Ill take the real thing any day.

The shoes you posted are Nike SB Dunk Mids "Clubber Lang".

I got those exact pair off ebay for $60, cheap for those kind

Ebay it and you can get them for under $90

SO,

To the guy who said get the wu-tang dunks, fail. they sell for around 7000. and that's not too many zeros.

But stay away from fakes, they fall apart really fast.


Fakes are always pretty obvious. The toungue thing your talking about is basically that the fake tongues, when looking straight on, have a completely straight top where its sewn, all real sb's have a subtle dip in the seam at the top of the tongue.

Also you can get to know fakes from the tag inside, the serial number has to be touching the bar code, and there is certain typography errors that are pretty noticable in fakes.

you're missing one huge part though.

This toyota looks and runs just like a Lambo, maybe a few minor differences, just without the pricetag. obviously if it was givin to me free i would take the lambo, but nothings really free

you cheapest spot to get sbs are skate shops. There are quit a few online. look around. also a while back i got some pretty good deals from some legit skate shops over seas on some more exclusive shit
