no. be like me and keep the money ur saving for camp and just move to whistler with ur buddies for the entire winter! 1500 is a great start for moving out.

I dont think so either, unless its one of your life time goals to have pros pretend to be your friend for like five days?? if I had the extra money just laying around then I'd probably go but for that money you could spend two full weeks at a decient mountain.

ya man, if ur above 18 i suggest going to south shore soldiers in march. for way less then summer camp at hood or whistler. u can party more and u can ski conditions that are 100 times better then the glaciers. www.southshoresoldiers.com

under_achieved you dont like skiing that much then. This kind of skiing is a life style for most people on here and isnt taken lightly. I base a big part of my life around skiing and spending a week durring the summer skiing while the alterntive is siting at home its worth the money. I went to COC it half the time it was shity weather and there was no tow rope so i had to hike evey where, and my room mate was annoing as hell. But im going back next year, even if it means that i wont have money to have a car for college.

ok serious boy, I just said I didnt think its worth all that money for 5 'special' days of skiing but if you think its worth every penny then good for you, and just so you know my life is pretty much 100% based around skiing, I gave up a very well paying job to move out west so I could ski 100+ days insead of 7 or 8 a season.

Um, why would you give up a car in college for 5 days of skiing? I think it would be better to have a car in college so you can go ksiing every night and like go do urban rails and shit then go skiing for 5 days...

yeah but the point is tha tinstead of wasting your money on camp you can go to whistler for 2 weeks or move out there or something, do something useful, if you think a week at camp i better than a week at whistler in full season then I dont know what is wrong with you.

y ondt u jus go to whistler when these camps r going on and jus use the jumps for the camps, thats what me and my friends do. hell of a lot cheaper

1500 for a camp is pretty good. A normal summer camp is almost that much but you arent skiing. You're making gay potholders.

itssss way cheaper to go out and stay there and jsut ride the glacier, and if you know the right people you can get into the camps, and who needs pro coaching, anyone with common sense would be able to help you with a trick it doesnt have to be a pro.......

I went to SMS two years ago. It was one of the best weeks of my life. I'm passing on this summer though. Instead, I plan on spending a month in Whistler next season.

yea i agree^^^^^ good choice, if ur over 18 or planning on moving out west or anywhere good, save the cash ski during the winter. get friendly with the folks who run the shit and maybe they can strike u a deal for the next summer. or if ur 15 like me, beg ur parents, my case they think its 'too dangerous' fuck em, save up the money for something else, save up till ur 18 and get the fuck out of there, peace

it is worth as much as you put into it. if you push yourself everyday and talk to the coaches for advice, you will progress and its worth it. if you are too afraid to try new stuff in front of the pros, (like 70% of the campers out there) its not worth it.
