Got a truck, yay

my parents got a new car so i get my dad's old truck, its not great, but its free, so its all good. its a 2001 F-150 extended cab, no 4 wheel drive, but can make it to the mountains in good to decent weather.

i wanna do some stuff to it that won't be too expensive, but make it a little cooler, any suggestions?

How much are looking to spend? Are you looking at interior upgrades such as subwoofers,headunits,and amps? Or exterior such as lift kits,paint,lights.Im guessing not engine upgrades since you dont want to put alot of money.
Just tell me what you are looking at and ill try to help.
Im gettin my dads 97 silverado z71 4x4 in march yay!!

only stuff like sound system, i don't care what it looks like from the outside aside from some sweet stickers on the back window. if it isn't something that i'm gonna personally enjoy when i drive it, i don't need it

Neon lights under the seats,and the feet are near the pedals would be sweet.Anyways back to the audio system,What are you looking to buy? A full setup such as Head unit, amp, tweeters, subs, etc.? Price limit is key


Also coconut car freshener things that hang on the mirror!

dont get speakers and subs and stuff. its a phase! i went through it when i got my first car and after a couple years  and alot of money, i regret it. get like a sweet snow brush or a couple cool stickers or since you have a truck one of those roll up truck bed cover things. NOT a sound system, flat screen tvs, disco balls, tinting or anything. save your money for useful stuff

do nothing if your only doing interior please dont do anything if u get a new sound system there is only a certain amount of time u can listen to it before ur ears die and the stock i garentee is fine

def wont be getting underglow or neon or anything, that shit is dumb. the bed cover sounds cool actually, it would come in handy when throwing skis and crap back there

This guy knows what's up.

Save your money for things like snow tires, gas and maybe a GPS (those things are so fuckin baller). Sound systems are a documented phase when you get your first car. You think its totally awesome blasting while you drive. Only thing is, everyone else thinks you're a douche.


Spend money on useful stuff. Fleshlight?

Yea I totally agree with everyone else. Big subs are a phase.
but if you want to do something. Some nice speakers are a serious upgrade, just get something like alpine type-R or Infinity Kappa, don't skimp out on speakers. Then get a reasonable head unit and you'll really appreciate the better sound.
