that was undoubtedly the best halfpipe run i have ever seen dumont do.  the switch 10 was dirt and the back to back 9s were sick.

Tucker Perkins - I'll leave this one to my mom's announcing, "When he lands, it's like there is no recovery at all, smooth as silk"(88.5, 2nd place)
Mike Riddle - Switch 10 first hit, nice 540 witha  double grab, closes with a 10. (84.5 4th place)
Simon Dumont - Very similar run, but hits the switch 10 on the last hit. (94, super first place)
Duncan Adams - Lands too far down the pipe on the last hit and cases the pipe.
Justin Dorey - Nice double, not grabbed like Olenick's, but he stick it, closes with a left side 9 (91.75 second place)
Tanner Hall - Great run, tickled this 12 this time, didn't break out the double (90 3rd place)

Final Results:
1st Simon Dumont
2nd Justin Dorey
3rd Tanner Hall

I think Dumont starts out with 5 points just b/c of his name, but he had a sick run. Riddle got screwed and had the sickest run. Tanner's shifties are sick as fuck as well

i feel like dumont deserved it, although the 94 for the 3nd run might have been a little too high. just watching him drop in you know how bad he wants it, whereas tanners style approaches laziness in my opinion. i mean yes his 2nd run was nearly perfect and looked incredibly smooth etc, but i just get the impression that hes not pulling everything out of his ass that he possibly could, and that bothers me.

couldn't agree with you more i felt the same way, simone looked like he wanted the win and with such poor results thats understandable. and no hate on tanner but i just don't think that he put it all on the table and his reaction to his score was suprising like he expected to beat simons 94.i just think he should have tried harder.

yeah taner does to and dumont should not have been that high and riddle should have been higher.

I just like tanner b/c every year he comes back with a completely different run almost, while dumont still has his same run maybe mixing up a couple tricks

nobody is commenting on how Tanner was not gracious in defeat at all. That was the whole thing about Tanner, everyone started loving him cause he was positive and happy and cool at comps, but that was cause he was winning. I was waiting patiently to see what would happen with him if he lost, and he walked right in to what i knew he would do, complained about the score and then complained to other riders, who were congratulating him, about amplitude. I think Tanner is a great skier, I bought all three of his movies, love wht hes done for the sport, but I knew he would not be a gracious loser. rant over.

You sounded so uninformed. The first thing Tanner does when he gets to bottom is says congrats to Dorey ("DOREY ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"), he seemed so genuinely stoked for him and his run and starts shooting the shit with the rest of the guys at the bottom. Stop sounding like your proud of catching a bear in a bear trap. I smell a bear mauling coming your way.

Yeah if anything I thought that Tanner was sort of like "I'll let Dumont have this one.  The reporter that talked to him before his run said that he told her he was going to do almost the same run as the first time, so I think he knew he was going to 2nd or 3rd and didn't really care.
