my shins kill me after a day of skiing. i dont know if this is shin bang or whatever (?) but like right around where the top of my boots are my shins hurt like a mother, even the sides of my calves give me grief. anyone know what might be goin on and if i can do anything to stop this? or are my boots too tight or too loose or something? because they feel comfortable until my shins start screaming at me...

yea its shin bang, i get it really bad too. i cant ski more then twice a week, if that. i need new boots, but im a poor college kid who cant afford it. so my only advise for you is get boosterstraps. ice, and searchbar

sore shins = your doing it right

i dont know how hard you close your boots but try perhaps a bit looser, therell flow more blood through your feet/legs and youll have less pain+warmer feet :D

dont know what boot you have but perhaps you can switch between hard and soft flex ( my technicas have a bolt on the back that gives it race flex or soft flex and i like it very much :D

also be sure to have good fitting socks, definately not too big.....

my bad on the searchbar thing but i've seen tons of threads on shinbang but for the life of me i didnt know what it was, so i kinda had to ask. now that i do i can look at all 800 shin bang threads and get advice from them. thanks for the help
