i wouldnt say the snow is safe seeing as there was an avy at brighton 2 days ago. the snows been pretty good lately but theres still some rocks out there
the snow pack right now is the best it has been all season since the thanksgiving rain crust. While you still need to use caution dig pits and test the slopes it isnt half as bad as it was 2 weeks ago.
trying to get it to slide with tests is going to be tough work. it considerably safe in general, but if you are on a thin layer of snow over that rain crust you could cause a massive deadly slab like the one off of pioneer

WHOOPS! Actually what i meant to say was.... I would imagine that things up in the Gulch are pretty stable then , because it seems like it fills in really well above Pyramid and Chads ya?
