What do you think of rasta colors?

just on ski gear now. poles, skis, etc.

I just want to know honest opinions and maybe a reason or two.

Personally I think they look great on poles and  on hoodies etc i wouldnt think  they would look gd  on skis or boots unless only a little  was used alot of it  would ruin it  .

IMO rasta colours are the perfect colours for freeski. Special Blend's Utility Jacket showed it last year. Sorry I don't have more time to talk.

I think rasta colors are stupid stupid stupid.  its a ridiculously played out trend, and the colors dont even look that good.  I'd go with anything over rasta any day, but just my opinion.

they are sweet but dont overdo them.  i recently gave my old white spy goggles a makeover and gave them a sick rasta design with sharpies.  i like it, and its the only rasta type thing i have, so i guess that overall rasta is good in moderation

I personally love the thought of rasta...it represents a nation's people, way of life and their struggle. Each color gives a certain meaning to the country it havens from. I wear rasta colors because it reminds me to learn and embrace my surroundings and the people within it


and i look damnnn good in the colors

Not all rastafari's smoke ganja. Some do, some don't. It's a spiritual thing.
Considering the age range of this forum I wouldn't expect many people know about Rasta culture.
So what I say is, if you are going to wear something promoting rasta colours, at the least know something about it.

Plus, you shouldn't base someones skiing ability on what they where. That's totally played out..

Barely anyone knows about that shit. Most people assume rasta's are just jamaicans who smoke tons of weed and grow dreads. They don't don't know what stuff like jah is. I don't wear rasta colors, and the only reason I would is if I had like tanner's crowbars or something. I'd feel like a hypocrite just trying to be like tanner or something wearing those colors.

i am not a fan but i think it looks good in little increments  like last years t-halls just a little but it was very nice  i think it would look sick on boots but like only on one and just one stripe like 3/4's of an inch er something

I think rasta colors as a trend is not really so great.  The colors represent a lifestyle, belief system and even have religious conotation.  If it's "trendy" that sorta kills it.  If you know what it is you're wearing then go for it

I like rasta colors.  I like what it represents and think it's a great color scheme. I don't even have any rasta gear, mostly cuz I know I'd just get shit for it by people (like many people in this thread) who don't know what they're talking about. Too many people wear rasta just because it's a fad and they listen to reggae so they think they can rep it.  Rastafarianism isn't about being ganster, it's about being morally concious and spiritually free.
